Thank you for a great season

It all started when I asked Jeff Baker at the Air Blaster contest last winter in Govy about submitting photos to the new mag, who introduced me to Larry Nunez, who gave me his business card which had the web site address that I find myself on everyday now.I subscribed to the mag that same day, and when I got my first issue I really liked the whole layout of the issue.I didn't see ads about how I should join the army or how being the ski bum that I am buying the new S.U.V. that would only take me 80 years to pay off,and for that I thank you for being a true and real snowboard magazine, and I'm l

RENO

As most folks head out to Vegas for Sia, Jeff Todd and I head to Reno.
With our last minute plan we find out all we can afford is the hound. Let me tell you this was the last time I'll ever ride the bus again. We leave PDX with a fairly empty bus, and we each had our own 2 seats. Things were looking good till we reached Redding, Ca., Where we stop to switch drivers. After 3 hours of sitting in the bus(with no driver) the depot finnaly opens up. We all rush in to complain to the ticket office, and find out that our route according to their computer had been cancelled. Finally we get a new driver and get to Sacramento to find out we missed our transfer and have to wait another 3 hours. After 20 some hours we reach Reno to find out that they have no snow. We're both to tired to be productive to get things done, so to the casinos we go. After 4 hours of sleep we head up into the mountains to find plenty of snow. We're all suprised at how with little to no effort you can ride some amazing terrain. Our 3 day stay just flew by and it was time to get on the bus. The way home was completely packed and didn't have a window seat till we were less than an hour from Portland.GO GREYHOUND!!!

For those of you who don't have a subscription, you should really purchase this issue. In my opinion this is the best issue to date, and for $4.99 you cant go wrong.

HOOD IS GOOD

Well it's been a blizzard for the last couple of days, so that means Timberline will be open tomorrow. That's right you heard me right tomorrow morning. MT.Hood Meadows is planning on opening next Wednesday. Mt. Bachelor is planning on opening on the 14th. The news is saying we should get 3 more feet by next week. The north west deserves this after last season. Good things to come.
