50-50 Brewing Company

Last night (thursday the 4th) marked the first night of a weekly premiere lineup at the 50-50 Brew co. in Truckee. For those not familiar with the place, it's about a 10 minute drive north of Northstar resort, and has the best and largest selection of personally brewed beer this side of your mom, all brewed on site. Crowds began arriving at around eight o'clock , but the real bro-show was in full effect by nine, when the first movie, Capita's "First Kiss", started. Event Coordinator Josh Smith started the thing off by trying to tell the crowd a little about the movie, but it's hard for people to hear anything when a bunch of snowboarders are let loose at a bar, under any circumstances. Maybe next time he'll use a megaphone.

That's right, this past Friday night it snowed about four inches in the Truckee area, which isn't that much, but it was more than enough to scrape some snow and have a tight little backyard box sesh! After the setup was built, we took turns sling-shotting each other at it until we were either too muddy or too intoxicated to keep it going (a small amount of coordination is needed for slick and muddy slingshots). Four inches isn't much, but it felt good to be back on the "snow" again, and it always feels good pressing box!
