“I WANT FREE BOOTS DAMMIT!!” CELSIUS VIDEO CONTEST WRAP UP

“I WANT FREE BOOTS DAMMIT!!” CELSIUS VIDEO CONTEST WRAP UP

Celsius would like to thank all the people that took time to submit their videos to our “I Want Free Boots Dammit!!” video contest. We received well over 100 full length snowboard flicks! Now we have to pick the winner.

Here is how it will all go down. This summer, the Celsius team of Jon Kooley, Jordan Mendenhall, Micah McGinnity, and Chris Dufficy will watch all the videos and narrow the field down to the best 5 videos. The top 5 will be hosted on our website. Then in true “American Idol” style, YOU decide who will receive the 4,000 bucks in gear from Celsius, Sessions, Academy, Technine, Level, Dragon, Transworld, Adio, Neff, and Wildcats.

Celsius in Portland

Half of the Celsius crew ended up in Portland a couple weeks ago all for different reasons.

Jon Kooley and Jordan Mendenhall had a photo shoot to attend and Sales Manager Will Talbott had to testify in a court case.

Some pics of the weekend for you all to check out.

I WANT FREE BOOTS DAMMIT!!! Contest Update

I WANT FREE BOOTS DAMMIT! Contest Update

Contest update. A lot of you have been asking a lot of questions lately about our contest. Here is a little update just to keep you on track.

The final due date for Video submissions is May 31st 2005. So you have little over a month left to edit. The rules are: make the best snowboard/sponsor me video you can, just leave out violence and nudity. We don’t want to see you beating up skiers or fighting at parties. This is also not a porno flick so keep the skin out of it. Feel free to use any music you would like, this movie is not for sale so you don’t have to worry about getting sued by the music industry.

OUT of BOUNDS RENO TO HOLD INDOOR RAIL JAM ON 4/20/2005

Out of Bounds Reno, in conjunction with the Pacific Beach Club is pleased to announce a one of a kind indoor 4/20 rail jam. You would think after the more then nine car-port crushing feet of snow that Reno received this winter that they would have had enough, but Out of Bounds doesn’t think so and went ahead and planned this one of a kind indoor rail contest. Unfortunately kiddies, this event is at a Bar so it is 21+ only. Competitors pay $20 which will go to the cash prize for the winner and there is a $10 cover to get in. The Pacific Beach Club has stepped up with dollar drafts and other drinks specials TBA at the event.

Celsius' Ian Kirk on the East Side

Celsius would like to thank Ian Kirk for all the support he has given us this year. Ian has been there since the begining and never forgets his roots. He has supported Never Summer and Technine longer then most people have been riding. Now Ian can add Celsius to the mix.

Chris Bradshaw has spent most of this winter traveling with E-Stone and the rest of the Technine Crew filming for F.O.T.’s new video "One Love" due out next Fall. He also earned an all expense paid trip to Snowboarders annual Superpark. Chris is supported by Technine Boards and Bindings, Neff Headwear, Ambiguous, Grenade, Electric, Bear Mountain, and of course Celsius Snowboard Footwear.

Bradshaw

Micke Sjoberg is Celsius’ first shredder from across the pond. Micke has been busy sending Celsius some of the most amazing shots all winter from around Europe. Be sure to keep an eye out for this kid. We aren’t exactly sure what he has been up to this winter. All we know is he is from Sweden and hangs out with some really talented photographers, one of which got him the cover of On-Board.

“I WANT FREE BOOTS DAMMIT!!” CONTEST UPDATE

March 7, 2005, San Diego Ca; Celsius Snowboard Foootwear Co. wants to remind you to keep your cameras rolling and submit your videos to our 1st annual “I Want Free Boots Dammit” snowboard video contest. There are still two months of filming left in most parts of the world. Celsius has already received over 100 submissions to the contest, but we want to see more. We have been extremely impressed with not only the level of riding out there, but the level cinematography and editing as well.

We have received all types of videos from straight-up sponsor me tapes, to full length films, from artsy flicks to classic skate style videos. Entries have been received from as far away as Slovenia. “It is really refreshing to see young riders putting that much energy into their projects,” remarked Sales Manager Will Talbott. “It’s also really cool to see what trends the riders are following and what snowboard and skate videos really influence their editing style.”
