Tahoe locs held it down at the Love Launch Party at Zen Bu in Squaw Valley Saturday night even though the major vodka sponsor hosting the party dropped out. Peeps from Chico reppin Synthesis magazine and house band Uneaq from San Jose with DJ Quinn made their way to the snowy mountains ready to entertain the boozy crowd.

I was amped to venture back to South Lake this week and kick it with the South Shore Soldiers posse for round two. Not even that sweet concussion I received after jumping a 40-foot kicker last session could overpower the anticipation of getting back on the slopes and partying with the Soldiers once again.

Sunday night it was right back off the wagon and onto the bull and crazy oil wrestling mayhem resulting in a chic smack down…highly entertaining to say the least.

The assignment was simple: head to South Lake Tahoe and hang with the Southshore Soldiers crew. You know the regular dealio- shoot some photos, talk to campers, and enlighten readers about the scene. Well easier said then done.

This is only the beginning

Things started off all fine and dandy. I arrived Sunday night and met up with Rob Crosby, Jimmy Halopoff, and the rest of the homies who have made the Soldiers name a staple in the snowboard world. In their sixth season the boys have things dialed and know how to combine the perfect combination of shredding all day and partying all night.

Vans and Northstar at Tahoe joined forces this weekend to create an epic event once again. The festivities kicked off Friday evening at the rail jam showdown under clear skies and bright lights.

Pros from across the globe showcased why they get paid the big bucks savaging for a chance at more money in the bank…shorty whatcha think. The girls threw down first and gave the audience a peek at what was to develop during the men’s heat.

The Anti Valentines Day Bash

Keeping up with their anti image the Rome crew threw one huge bash on Valentines night at their Lake Tahoe crib. A band, pyramid of classy P.B.R. 12-packs, and actual fireworks lit up the night of love.

As the band rocked out in the garage a mosh pit formed, beer sprayed from ceiling to floor, and Roman candles colored the room. Besides the obvious underage drunk girls stumbling around a few pro shreds also made their regular appearances. Steven Duke, Jake Devine, Chas Guldemond, and Eric Messier contributed to the chaos among others.

No matter what anyone says what happens in Vegas doesn’t stay there…Especially with myself and the rest of the SNOWBOARD crew in the mix. This year’s trade show exceeded previous expectations with companies throwing down major cash allowing everyone in the industry to party their brains out.
