Burton 2005-06 P1 Carbons...need a recall.

i blew out my right foot binding heel cup (rear foot) three weeks ago, then yesterday i blew out the other binding (front foot, left). its one thing to blow a heel cup out, but i ripped the WHOLE entire binding off its base plate. never had my foot rip right off of a snowboard before WHILE STILL TOTALLY STRAPPED IN.

i wasn't getting too gnar, jumping a 80 foot tabale or anything. just washed out on my toes after landing off the triple sided 'wall box' at copper.

when warrantying this binder, i asked the warranty dept at burton if they were doing a recall or anthing. they said no, surprisingly. i've seen other kids with the same probablem with this model of binding. it looks like the 'arch' system that is a part of the highback sliding system is way to weak. its like a split v pattern with 2 weaker pieces of plastic, unlike many of there other design that have one solid piece there.

My 3 months of Summer fun and sun

I used to count the days till winter and the snowfall. Ever since i blew out my ankle in a skate ramp july of 2004, my perception on the winter season has changed dramatically. I used to ride 150 days a year, something like 5 straight seasons. Last season i was able to ride half ass for like 15 days or something, which made me appreciate the sport that i love so much. It has been over a year since surgery, and my ankle is at maybe 70% mobility. My doctor can't help me anymore unless i want to have orthoscopic surgery to clean out my tendinitis and scar tissue. I'm not interested in more surgery, and the only other useful way to help my pain is cortezone shots (i've had one so far). I spent over $1000 alone in physical therapy last winter, only to have my ankle blow out on nothing after i came off a rainbow box and rode out of it.
