As the sun starts to set a bit earlier and the air starts to get a bit chillier,
we see the usual glut of snowboard buyers guides. We see the usual behemouth from TWS and the thinly masked advertising piece from snowboarder. Snowboard mag provides their premium brand guide which offers a bit of corporate insight with its product images. Future mag... Oops my bad...
A big part of this year's hype is Rocker. Not KISS, AC/DC or even Slayer, but a curved, 3D base shape that is "revolutionizing" snowboarding. This idea first gained traction in the 2000s with Lib's Skate Banana after Lib Tech mad scientists ate a banana one day. It is important to know that some lesser known brands like Bataleon and K2 (with powder skis) were also experimenting with rocker, but the skate banana really turned heads in 2007 trade demos.
