Jake Burton

Did anyone else see him sitting court side beside Jack and Kelly Slater earlier (like, a few minutes ago) at the Lakers game? Wearing full Boston Celtics fan merchandise no less. Probably a Burton x Celtics collab for 09 Late release...

Go Lakers, even though they suck.

Tightboards.com / Boardparadise.com

They are terrible.

The website inventory is never accurate and not "real time" as it should be. But they will charge your credit card as soon as you place your order NOT after it has shipped.

This is a big problem because it takes them up to a week to just locate the product, and even after you get that disappointing e-mail saying the product (that was listed as being in stock at the time of your purchase) is not available, they will not issue a refund unless you specifically ask for it. So they will just hang on to your money indefinitely.

If you manage to somehow talk to a real person on the phone (instead of an unavailable voice mailbox), you will find their customer service is abysmal and you can tell by the tone of their voice they just want you to hang up the phone and just deal w/ the shitty situation you're in. What about their live online help? Don't waste your time. I waited 3 hours when the "average wait time" was said to be 20 minutes and never got through to anyone!

Freakin blows.

3 seperate e-mails from 2 different accounts (just to make sure one of my spam filters hasn't been blocking their mails), and a phone conversation with an employee for about 5 minutes. Almost a week later; no response, no contact, nothing. Thanks for your great customer disservice guys!

Honestly, I don't even know why I bother trying to spend my skrillah anywhere else than ACTIVE. See ya later tonight ACTIVE, I heart you.

I'm going going back back to Cali Cali!

Dear Diary

Beside my keyboard is a lift ticket, it was a 2 Days lift ticket for Mammoth Mountain. Friday the 12th of November and Saturday the 13th of November it reads. Ah yes, I remember those two days quite lucidly like it was just yesterday. But it feels like it has been an eternity.

Despite some politically motivated vandalism on my shred sled courtesy of a few Pro Kerry University of California drunks, it was still without a doubt one of the most epic pre-season shred adventure I've ever been a part of, bar none. And in less than one months time I will be making a return trip up the  395 higwhway to partake in another pre-season warm up, straight MVP style. Although I am sure the proportions will be less than epic this season, it will definately beat any given day during these hot summer months.

This shred sled was given to me as a parting gift from one of my friends. Mint condition, insane stance options, shorter than my 147 Weapon, and totally shredable. I've heard it's a fun ride, just as long as you keep the speed to a minimum.

But being the sissy girly man I am, I wont get the chance to find out. It's going up on the wall for decoration. So sad.
