Ghost Town

So it is now the infamous "travel season." Everyone around the office has been saying how this place becomes deserted once everyone starts traveling to events and other far off places.

I didn't believe them until today. (I think I just saw a tumble weed blow by my desk.) The click-click of a few keyboards and the periodic crash of wind against the windows bringing the next snow storm are the only sounds in this space.

I am sitting in an office where there are typically 20-some people moving about, which has now been abandoned by its inhabitants who are in search of greater riches...powder.

Super Content-Stoked Intern

Talk about an in-Shred-ible day!
If you weren't out at Breck when the Burton crew rolled through, that's okay, because I was stoked enough for the both of us. The uber-pros were out in force and I had the fortuity to be a part of it.

On the way up there was an energy that coarsed through the car that can only come from wanting to be on snow. Nate had one hand on the handle all the way up...I thought he was going to tuck and roll out of the car the second we were within eyeshot of the chairlift.

"Super Content Stoked-Out Intern"

So I got a last minute invite up to Copper's Opening Day last Friday, but being the steadfast little intern I am was reluctant to ask my boss for the day off. After I gathered some cajones, I threw out a line to DG with a casual "can I take a shred day?"

The virtually immediate response being, "F Yeah!"
So I piled the gear in the car and headed up. Even though Mr. Herbold said it was easy to get there,
"Just head south till you hit I-70," he assured me...
I still managed to find a scenic detour of sorts through Central City. I thought about going all in on red, but then I remembered I don't like to gamble.

Copper had a great top-to-bottom-run open. Megadeth and I got jibby on a couple boxes, Andrew and Co. got method mcnasty off some little side woop-te-doos.
Smiles all around to say the least, seriously... no one could stop talking about how much fun they had.

Good times, yeah, good times.
