Boreal Wins Shop Battle in Lake Tahoe, April 2.

Underground sports, located on the first floor of Boreal's lodge, put out a team to battle the rest for the title of Shop Champion in 2008. Riders came from all over the lake to take part in what everyone considers a big deal. Riders represent as they make their claim as the best. People came to throw down on April 2 and take your spot in the record books you had to earn it.

Everyone had a shot as people sized up the course. Boreal built something special for the event and people seemed to like it.

Boreal; The Final Showdown in the Battle Arena.

<img src="img_assist/gen/30470 alt="New Boreal Battle Arena" />

Boreal put on the Final Showdown, the last of the years Expression Sessions, and they brought out something extra special for the event. With $5 entry and a free cook-out to enjoy, no one was left unfulfilled. The Battle Arena featured an 18' quarterpipe, elevated bench ride, slanted box wall ride, and hip facing left.
This definitely gave riders plenty of options to explore.

Boreal Rib & Jib

We're putting on a quality event and plan on turning some heads with activities. $5 Ribs...Wait I just said $5 ribs and all the money goes to Boarding For Breast Cancer.

If that doesn't get you up there then how about a rail jam and a 3 legged skier race. Come out and enjoy live music and good food. Resorts from all over the Tahoe area have been invited to display their food and beverage skills. So if you're a local and think your resort is the best, then make sure they show up.

Boreal Powder Happiness

It gives you a special kind of feeling when all you've ridden is park for the past month and you get that burning inside to go ride some pow. Then mother nature hears your cry and gives you one foot of the lightest, fluffiest, and friendliest snow she can give you. Granted to still touch bottom every once in awhile, but it still brings back moments of greatness.

I was one of the fortunate who made it out to the chair before the weekend crowds started rolling down I-80 and it was definitely picturesque. Looking at a great park covered in a foot of snow gave the mountain plenty of different options.
