It's about time...

Office life sucks. Plain and simple. It's a web, that once you get caught up in, will ruin your life. I'm a snowboarder. Plain and simple. It's what I do, it's who I am. It's my religion. On the first day, God created mountains. Then, he created snow, which fell later that night. On the second day, the world was beautiful, blanketed with snow. Soon after, Jake brought snowboarding to the world. It's the web that I am wrapped up in. Not some desk job.

This is the sight that I live for. Of course, shit needs to get done, but this is where I get it done. This is my past week of (thank God) shredding.

Mack Dawg's Gabe L'Heureux just sent me this gem of a clip. This kid (William Spencer) lives in Denver. I think I'm gonna look him up. Check out his banger at the end.

Bio-shred with Milberry and friends.

We got the day started proper. Make your own bio-diesel fuel, I bet Mother Nature would be stoked! Pat Milbery

Beautiful Dillon, Colorado. Official headquarters of the PURL wax folks!

What up Cort? What up Reed? Double Black Diamonds at the PURL office huh?

They walked us through the whole wax making process and here are a few blocks getting ready to go. They got a pretty solid new organic wax dialed. Oh yeah!

Chilling with Joe Sexton

I don't want this blog entry to sound like I'm trying to toot my own horn or claim anything. I can't stand "that guy." So, anyway, the Misses and I had two special guests at the Basher compound this weekend. Mom was our first guest since moving to CO this summer, and she got the house ready for the weekend to come. Two friends were coming from Minneapolis. Joe Sexton and his girlfriend Kim.

Always the life of the party, with a smile on his face, we were looking forward to hanging out. With snow on the ground here, and A-Basin and Loveland open, you'd think we were going to shred, but nope. Skating was a better option. Joe was on a bit of a vacation, and CO's numerous cement parks were calling him.

SANTA MONICA, Calif. -- Lindsay Lohan, who just finished a second stint in rehab for substance abuse treatment, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and possession of cocaine early Tuesday, authorities said.

Lohan, who is already facing a drunken driving charge in Beverly Hills, was stopped near the Santa Monica Police Department after authorities were called about a car chasing another vehicle, said Sgt. Shane Talbot.

Authorities conducted a field sobriety test and then transported Lohan to the police department.

More from the Bro Down Showdown

Greg Bokenkamp.

Here are a few more shots from the Brodown Showdown at Bear. It went down this past Saturday, with perfect conditions, and a course that looked like something out of a video game. The riding was insane, the sun was out and the temps were perfect. Couldn't ask for much more.

Big Bear in the limelight.

Gimme that mic! I wanted to get the big interview, but didn't get it. I guess I have a face for radio.

Yesterday morning, a news crew from KTLA came up from Los Angeles to do a broadcast from Big Bear. After a long week in Vegas, waking up at 5:30 am didn't sound like a great idea, but I was down to hit up Bear's "Scene" with some buddies for a few hours before the mountain opened.

Johnny Miller was interviewed live for the morning news on KTLA Channel 5.

Anthony Mazzotti

Even though we haven't had any real snow in Bro Cal, the riding has been absolutely amazing. Bear has been going off with plenty of features, and pros have been stopping in to get some riding in before taking it to the streets, or whatever. Over that past week or so, lots of pro shreds have been either stopping in for the day, or are taking up a temporary residence up here.

...on the East Coast (Western New York), and made the most of my childhood. It snowed a lot where I am from, and those long winters turned into a love. While I was growing up, I started riding this small ski area about 8 miles from my house. Every Saturday, my dad would take me there, and it was absolute Heaven. Hanging out with my dad, and getting to ride my snowboard. Now that I think about it, that ski area molded my life, as well as many of my friends.
