Disclaimer: The Campus Rail Jam Tour “Editorial Staff” is well aware that approximately half the people reading this story will at some point think to themselves that, “Boulder is entirely comprised of trust-fund babies who spend more time planning the sticker schematics on their snowboard (or skis) than actually riding.” If this describes you, please take a deep breath and think happy thoughts before the remainder of this story discredits (respectfully) your hater assumptions. The Cricket Campus Rail Jam At CU

Posted on March 11 2010 at 09:06am by TAWNYA20

The Cricket Campus Rail Jam series stopped through Boulder last week for a fun and fruitful gathering of CU’s local shreds excited to compete and possibly win some prize money, of course. The event was held on the main strip near campus aptly titled “The Hill” where many of the college-goers live and hang. A portion of the road was closed exclusively for the massive rail jam setup bringing a festivalesqe vibe complete with sponsor tents and merchandise. The contest consisted of three 45 minute heats during which riders could hit the features as many times as they could make their way to the top again and again. The fired up crowd packed the streets bumping to the sounds of a local dj posted up on a separate scafolding above the landing of the setup.
