“Copy and paste,” said Patrick Bernier, one of the creators of the Shakedown. Bernier was referring to the formula him and his partner Brendan O-Dowd used for the first Ride Shakedown event in the U.S.- one of the most influential and popular snowboard events in Quebec, Canada 9 years running.

The Ride Shakedown is underway right now at the Summit-at-Snoqualmie. It’s the first one in the States from the same guys who make it happen every year in Canada since 2002. The qualifications for the main event tomorrow just went down. Check out a few picks from today and stay tuned for updates from tonight's rail jam.

This 6Star Oakley Arctic Challenge (TAC) saw 32 of snowboarding’s best slopestyle riders whittled down to the three best slopestyle riders worthy enough to step on the podium. See what happened and how it went down, Featuring interviews with the legendary Terje Haakonsen and amazing riding action from the best in international slopestyle snowboarding. The beautifully shaped slopestyle course in Tryvann Vinterpark, Olso, served as a brand new location for this elite Swatch TTR competition.

Once again the standard of teams applying for the Oakley Jib-Vid jumped up a notch. With over 40 teams applying, and each one of an incredibly high standard, the Jib-Vid crew had a really tough time making the hard decisions on who would make it to the start list of 18 teams. After watching edits and reading through rider information over and over again, we came up with the team list below.

Ruka, Finland 8-11.4.2010 is going to see yet another all girls ultimate showdown - the Oakley Girlsessions. This event is famous for attracting female riders of all levels from Finland, but also attracting more and more girl riders from all over the Europe to hit the perfectly shaped Ruka BatteryPark. Girls have a possibility to compete in different levels including a 3 star swatch TTR contest, freeskiers slope style, team contest, individual slope style and pipe competition. No matter if you are a newcomer or a pro or riding snowboard /skies.

Oakley Earns 21 Medals at Winter X Games 14

The exposure Oakley received last week in Aspen during Winter X Games 14 was all encompassing. In its best Winter X Games showing yet, Oakley raked in 10 gold medals and 21 medals overall at the premiere winter action sports event in the world.

With Gretchen Bleiler winning her fourth X Games Superpipe gold in her Signature Series apparal and A Frame, Shaun White taking a threepeat in his Signature Series A Frame, Kaya Turski winning ski Slopestyle, Oakley sweeping snowboard Big Air in new Splice colorways, Eero Ettala winning Slopestyle gold in his Pro Rider Series outerwear, snowmobilers Heath Frisby and Justin Hoyer claiming gold and Chris Del Bosco winning ski cross, Oakley once again was the most dominant force at the Winter X Games.
