The last contest of the Freeride World Tour will take place in Verbier on March 20th.
This event will reunite some of the world's greatest freeriders. Around 5000 spectators will join the riders at one of the most beautiful natural arenas of the Alps, the Col des Gentianes in Verbier.

It is right around that time of year when snow starts to melt, sun starts to come out and sadly, resorts begin to close. But here at Mt. Hood, that is far from happening. Sure its the time of year in Oregon when days are full of sunshine, birds are chirping, and it feels amazing to throw on a t shirt to go outside, but that just means more outdoor time to skate and bike after the mountain! Last week the students of Windells Academy rode powder ALL WEEK long. Timberline even had Palmer, (their highest lift on the mountain) open.

I couldn´t stop thinking about this spot in Flachauwinkl for years. It´s always a bad feeling to have some unfinished business so we decided to go back there to check out this almost natural take off with perfect landing - and guess what - it looked exactly as I had it in mind! Björn and me both got shots - mission complete! Heres some photos!

This picture is taken in Tyrol Austria, more exactly near the beautiful town of Kitzbühel. It is a great area for skiing and snowboarding. The surrounding scenery is absolutely breath taking.
