YES YES YES YESSSSSSS!

Rumors have been buzzing all around the Internet Worlds, should Windells get a second private lift in their private park or is the one good enough? Well It is official, Tim Windell himself called from the Oval Office minutes ago and made the announcment: "WINDELLS CAMP will have a second lift for the Summer of 2010." Windells is once again the first summer shred camp in the
history of the world to own, operate and install, two of its very own private rope-tows!

It is right around that time of year when snow starts to melt, sun starts to come out and sadly, resorts begin to close. But here at Mt. Hood, that is far from happening. Sure its the time of year in Oregon when days are full of sunshine, birds are chirping, and it feels amazing to throw on a t shirt to go outside, but that just means more outdoor time to skate and bike after the mountain! Last week the students of Windells Academy rode powder ALL WEEK long. Timberline even had Palmer, (their highest lift on the mountain) open.

Train where Olympians Shaun White, Hannah Teter and Louie Vito learned to snowboard

MT. HOOD, OR – March 2010 – With the excitement of the Vancouver Winter Olympics still fresh, Windells is now registering campers for their Spring Break Camps. Campers of all skill levels can refine their shred on beautiful Mt. Hood, whether it’s on a snowboard, skis, or a skateboard.

There are several Spring Break Camp sessions – March 20-26th, March 27-April 2nd, and April 3-April 10th – and camp sizes are limited to increase interaction with the instructors. Windells gives campers access to natural snow year-round, and has its own lift at Timberline for more laps. When campers aren’t ripping it up on the slopes or in the halfpipe, they’re having non-stop fun on the Windells campus. With skateboard, BMX and freeride facilities, the 12,000 square foot Building Out Back (B.O.B), paintball, movie rooms, the Super Awesome Information Game Lounge and a bunch of other activities, there’s always something to do.

That's right, if you want to have an amazing summer, improve your video skills, and live and work at the "funnest" place on earth, then this is for you. If your looking to use this internship to fulfill some college requirements we can work with you to make this happen. Camp runs from June 6th until August 11th and the longer you can be here the better. Here's what you need to do to apply:

Rob Kingwill is a jack of all snowboard trades. Living in the mountains of Wyoming all of his life, Kinger, as he's known by most, is driven by the shred, surrounding himself daily, whether it be slashing the hills at his local spot, Jackson Hole, creating board graphics for Compatriot, designing bandarils for Avalon7, or coaching kids from around the globe. He's a busy guy. Not to mention he's on the road most of the winter traveling from here to there, to places like AK, riding all kinds of lines we can only imagine. Enlighten your life with the insight of Kinger, sure to make you laugh, he's one living legend that's down for snowboarding 'til the day he dies.

The team has spent a combined 32-years training at the Mt. Hood Action Sports Camp
MT. HOOD – February 2010 – As each member of the USA Olympic Halfpipe Team was announced, Tim Windell smiled knowing there was one thing they all had in common – they all trained at his camp. The former campers turned Olympic athletes have spent a combined 32-years at Windells Action Sports Camp learning and pushing themselves to become the best in their sport – snowboarding.

Shaun White was a Windells camper from age 6 to 12 and Louie Vito camped at Windells from age 6 to 15. Vito still comes back to Windells each year. “Windells is dear to Louie’s heart,” says Windell. “He comes to inspire the kids. It’s too much fun and too much of a good time for Louie to miss out on. He spent so much time at Windells that it is just part of him.”
