Mother Nature is kicking it up a notch for this years 2010 The North Face Masters of Snowboarding at Snowbird. The resort has recieved 27" of snow in the past 2 days and much more is in the forecast. Riders were excited to get out today and inspect the venue for Saturday's contest.

6:15am arrival at snowbird? You may be asking why.. Well Snowbird recieves so much snow they routinely do avalanche work on the roads leading up tp the resort. We heard the road would be closed from 6:15-8:00am and opted for an early morning jump start.

This is when I learned of my new favioret snow related word: Inter-Locked. With the roads closed ski patrol started playing with their heavy artilery. The resort was "Locked Down" no-one could come or go.. Explosive blast started to rip thru the valley, SHAKING the windows of the base lodge. Brining down Avalanches left and right... This place is the real deal.
