Has anyone else had serious issuees with fogging on any kind of snow day? I have a pair of figments and it seems like they fog really easily. The look super cool and are comfortable but just don't wrok right
you need a better brand of goggles something like gordini, uvex, scott, carrera they are all quality. they are by far the cream of the crop, the diamonds in the rough.
maybe instead you should just wear Rudy Projects ... full proof. hehehehe
Yes, Anons were produced by Smith for 2 seasons before Burton sent their production offshore.
My Anons have never fogged once, whereas my friends' A-Frames and Crowbars fog constantly.
i have the figments too but mine have never fogged once even when its snowing
Smith Goggles will not fog, they have been manufacturing goggles for over 40 years here in the USA. Your Anons are made in China by people who don't care about snowboarding or fog.
Maybe I'm completely wrong on this, but I thought the anon figment was actually based on Smith's Airflow and Regulator goggles. To the point of actually even being produced by Smith or in the same factory.
Correct, Smith developed the figment goggle for Anon and even produced them for a while in the same factory. Recently they moved their production to China using their own molds and left the old molds here in the states to gather dust. I hope I don't get in trouble for this, I just posted the last comment to see if anyone was actually reading the forums. Anon makes great product.
i got me some oakleys and theyre really well ventelated. sometimes they make my eyes water though, or dry out the contacts.
you may have dirt on your inside lens. this dirt will cause clogged areas of in-flow (of air), thus causing them to fog.
my advice would be to take a soft tissue and clean the inner lens with some water, next clean your outer lens with your non-scratch goggle bag.
if the fogging persists, you should take out your lenses and clean the entire exterior areas.
always hold your goggles by their frames kids. never touch lens with your fingers, as this adds dirt to the lens and can easily remove the iridium on the outer lens.
Yeah but Anon's a quality product and you shouldn't be having those issues. On snow day's sweating is the key to fogging...the more you sweat the more googles will fog. Layer properly to avoid excess perspiration. Try keeping them off your head when your not riding (ie: hiking, standing around, etc.). Also make sure and keep the vents clear.
also if you get hair in there it will fog way easier.
i have had figments, and i have not had any abnormal fogging issues. a little hair in the frame, or really sweating hard. you also should try to dry out your lenses after a day of riding because if there is any moisture in the lens, they will fog up, and thats a hastle.
get oakley's, smith's or dragon's. and keep the goggles off your forhead and on your eyes.
for a quick dry no scratch fix, hit the bathrooms and use the hand dryer. works like a charm.
Anon goggles rule. I bought a pair of figment goggles and im never buying any other kinda of goggle ever again. The only time ive had problems with fog is when i have them off my eyes when im standing around.
