The third annual Grenade Games took June mountain by storm and what better day to celebrate than April 20…that’s right 420. It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining, the entire resort was closed for this one-of-a-kind event. The park crew created tons of fun features to keep everyone happy like the half pipe, snake run, slopestyle, the first annual Chinese Downhill course, and with Heineken as the beverage sponsor, you know everyone was in good spirits. This year the event stepped it up a notch by offering some big prize money to a few skilled riders thanks to Janae Twizzelman from Boost Mobile.

It seemed like the entire industry was on hand to partake in the debauchery. SNOWBOARD Magazine once again took center stage by serving quesadillas and margaritas to all while the 8 man “hot box” provided relief from the sun and gave riders a chance to relax and take in the sounds Retard Riot and others on the main stage. The half pipe was the main attraction for the riders and the Italian Stallion, Giacommo Kratter and Zach Marben took control and lofted the biggest airs of the day.
