BC Snowboard Association Early Registration

The 2006-2007 membership, FIS declaration and CAIP application forms are now available on our webpage: www.bcsnowboard.com

EARLY BIRD DEADLINE: August 10, 2006

BCSA Membership
A competitive membership is required in order to obtain a FIS (Federation Internationale de Ski) license.
A competitive membership is required for provincial level and higher events.

BCSA Fee: $50 before August 10, 2006
$60 after August 10, 2006

Waivers require signature of parent or guardian if applicant is under 19 years of age.

CAIP Insurance
A recreational or competitive member may apply for athlete insurance (Canadian Athlete Insurance Program – CAIP).
CAIP insurance provides coverage in excess of provincial health plans and other private insurance against risks specific to sport training and competitions.
CAIP offers three levels of coverage: Bronze, Silver and Gold - Details on the CAIP insurance coverage are available at: www.bcsnowboard.com

CAIP fees: Bronze: $50
Silver: $115
Gold: $165

FIS license
An athlete who wishes to enter FIS (Federation Internationale de Ski) sanctioned competitions must have a current valid FIS license.

Age limits for FIS license:
Alpine/SBX: 15 years or order (born before January 1, 1992)
Freestyle: 13 years or order (born before January 1, 1994)

In order to obtain a FIS license, an athlete must:
§ be a competitive BCSA member, and
§ have CAIP insurance (minimum of Bronze level)

FIS fees: $35 before August 10, 2006
$60 after August 10, 2006
