Agency Bindings Dumped??? But Why?

A big thanks to the people in charge over at VF Corp for contributing to the demise of some snowboarders dreams of a better binding company. >>and making a better / smarter industry of snowboard consumers in the process!!!

From the VF Corp Website:

VF Corporation is one of the world´s largest apparel companies. For over 100 years, we´ve grown by offering consumers high quality, high value branded apparel. Our leading brands in jeanswear, intimate apparel, outdoor and specialty apparel span virtually every channel of distribution. By understanding consumer needs and working in partnership with our retail customers, our goal is to be the world´s most responsive apparel company.

Does this sound like Vans or Agency to you? Make a better decision!

The aftermath of "Switch Bindings" and a sincere resentment toward what were once known as "step-in's" allowed Vans to create Agency Bindings. Since the sale of Vans to VF Corp, Agency became a little tiny number on a corporate balance sheet.
Thus... as a corporation that follows the needs and wants of it's shareholders they were obligated to drop Agency and focus primarily on Vans.
But there are hundreds of thousands of snowboarders through out the world that were counting on Agency to fill the void in a snowboard binding market that allows for a "core" binding brand to exist.
We have been let down! And Agency's sales reps and riders... them too! Go ahead and shutter the Binding Company Operation, but remember this....

"Your Customers" are becoming more enlightened to the fact that VF Corp is a nameless / faceless corporation that does not care about "our" bottom line. We as snowboarders (as a result of your money grubbing ways.) will find another footwear, binding and outerwear company to support and soon you will have to close the curtain on Vans and Reef as well. (And that will be a shame!)
I have met Steve VanDoren, know the Vans story from making shoes on waffle irons in southern Cali...and remember when Reef was supporting Jim Rippey and the Reef Girls... oh were those the days!
Vans was a "core" brand because of it's belief and representation in the markets that we are consumers of... now it is just a brand name. The closing of skateparks, killing of brands, and lack of support to your riders will eventually kill the brands that we believe in and kill the millions of investment dollars you spent acquiring them.... take notice >
