Mongolia!

This is a Russian Visa.

7:30 AM EST, August, 21st, 2006

Patrick is currently flying home to the states. His version of the above pictured document was only good for two entries into Russia. The third time–required when leaving kazakhsand– was, alas, not charming enough. Word is that he should be in tonight around 5.

What’s that?

You want an update on the guys that are still driving?

ummm…. well, er… I uh, don’t have any news on their progress… but, Wait!

Don’t go! I’ll tell you a joke.

“What do you get when you cross a cat with a cow?”

wait for it….

a Purr-moo-tation (permutation)!

yeah, maybe taking a bad pun that relies upon homonyms and blogging it wasn’t the best of ideas. But I’d argue that maybe it belongs on a blog devoted to the brilliantly inspiration of driving to Mongolia in a car you bought for fifty pounds. -ciao

Update! More Hearsay!
August 18th, 2006

In brief with more detail and eye-candy to come:

The team has now passed through Kazakhsand and is now traveling through the motherland on the home stretch. Going for these last 2,000 or so miles may tweak a ligament, but they’ve lightened their load (Patrick was traded to the authorities in order to gain Russian entry, and is currently seeking ways home. ) Soon with the pending demise of the Seat they may be able shed another couple pounds or so.
