Who Cares/ Mongo Pro Premiere SUPERPOST

Kyle Clancy's party had everyone seeing blurry.

The final night of ASR trade show madness was just that at the premieres of Who Cares and Chronicles of Gnarlia in downtown San Diego. Take the illest crew of pro shreds and industry heads, a two-hour open bar, and sweet snowboard vids to hype everyone up for the season—this proven formula equals a good party. After some confusion at the door and several arguments to get everyone inside, the bar was finally poppin’ around 9:00 p.m. with the who's who of snowboard peeps anxious and ready to drink the night away.

About a half hour later forever underage Eric Jackson walks over double fisted with vodka cranberries mumbling something about jumping through a window to make it inside. Jackson's actually become pro now at finding his way into bars. Jolt-N-Joes didn't know this crew very well when it decided to allow non-stop unlimited free booze. Every table had at least five full beverages and ten empty ones. When everyone was beyond buzzed less then an hour or so later the premieres began and Joes closed the bar. The place was hyped during the vids and both received well-earned cheers.

The talent and passion in the place was definitely felt and many congratulations and stokes went out to the crews who worked long hours for our enjoyment. Both films are must-sees with sick helicopter shots, city handrails and steep drops in backcountry pow. Props to Lane Knack, Kyle Clancy and Jared Slater for continuing to make core snowboard films that remain down for the cause. After the viewings the bar opened again-although it wasn't free anymore-but nobody seemed to care because they were already wasted. Everyone certainly lived up to the drunken reputation they've worked so hard to achieve.

The entire SNOWBOARD crew was in the house too, as Mark, Baker, Pancho, Basher, Gary and Exile all showed up to support their longtime pals. They finally got a dozen new blue denim edition Elm Co hats on the last night, and only a lucky few walked away with a freshy. After the bar closed, the party spilled out into the street where some of San Diego's finest were waiting to arrest any drunken bastards acting a fool. Unfortunately, Scotty Arnold and DJ Knucks gave them an excuse and Knucks ended up spending the night in lock up. Luckily, Scotty was only cuffed and spent a few minutes in the back seat of some SD Police cruiser, eventually being released. Pancho said, "Don't sweat it Scotty, this might finally earn you some much needed some street cred for your future rap career."

"The movie is awesome," said Mark. "We watched it two more times last night."
