Spirit mountain is located about 3 hours north of the Twin Cities in Minnesota on the edge of Lake Superior in duluth minnesota. i love spirit mountain because me and my friends can go up there on the weekend and hit up the sick park they have and then chill out at friends at the university of minnesota duluth. Spirit has the longest run in the midwest at about a mile long and they have easily the best park in minnesota.
i wish i was able to talk about powder days and whatnot but i cant really cuz its the midwest and most of the snow is manmade up there but for what spirit has to work with they make the sickest park and they also have a really sick halfpipe. they have about 12 jumps ranging from 30-60 and at the end of the park run they have what they call the Showtime money booter which is just a huge stepdown jump.

at the top of there park is the halfpipe and to the left of the halfpipe they have a small rail section that has a nice flat bar, a nice flat down flat and a flat box. as you go further down they have a triple jump to the right that has 30 on the left 50 in the middle and 40 on the right. to the left of the jumps there is a 20 foot handrail style rail that flows down into the mini halfpipe. If you hit the triple jump on the right that goes into another two jumps at 30 and 40 feet. they have a few more rails after the mini halfpipe like an s- rail another flat bar a big flat down flat and then you can hit the showtime booter from that. They have one big hip and then another 30 foot long flat rail a c box and a flat down rail. I really like this park because it has pretty good flow and you can get away from the twin cities and actually hit some good jumps and have fun and all the locals up there are really cool. Usually spirit holds about 5 really sick contests during the year and i think they are scheduled to hold the PBRJ jam this winter which is another really fun event.

The town of Duluth is so sick its on Lake Superior and just has a really sick atmosphere with all the bars and all the people and the college is about 10 minutes from the resort so a lot of college kids are out there on the weekend. There are a lot of sick handrails in the city of duluth which are really fun to hit on the nights and shit. All in all Spirit mountain is a small resort with an amazing park its the closest to comparing to parks out west and everybody up there just wants to have a good time and hang. Every year they have something new that no other resorts in the midwest have so that is always a plus.
