A group of CU Boulder students and coaches today did a demonstration to the school's marketing and athletic departments to prove that they could do a demo during the halftime show of a CU Boulder Football game. Led by coach Pat A. the CUST put together a jib, in run and laid out snow in less than 5 minutes proving that they could pull it off. Look for the full demo on ESPN during a Boulder game come November.

The stadium holds 30k fans.

Within five minutes of the timer blowing his whistle, the jib session was underway. Dustin Berger.

that's some serious nascar pit crew action. i might actually watch the game to see the rail antics... provided there are no wardrobe malfunctions.

Haters
This is a side of Snowboarding that needs to change. All you guys want to do is hate on everything and everyone. We have worked our asses off to put on this demo to try and do something new and different for snowboarding since there are virtually no stadium events in the U.S...and all you guys want to do is talk shit. We are not jocks nor do we ever aspire to be jocks, we just love to ride like all of you. All we want from this event is to bring attention to the growing college snowboard scene. But I guess that is tough for some of you to understand since you couldn't make it into college. Pat Milbery is way stoked on the event and he is even riding in it. If he can appreciate it, why do the rest of you have to hate on everything? There is nothing wrong with what we are doing so chill out.

always a hater on the internet. any and all snowboarding is good for me
kelsic is a friend of mine, that kid rips!!
///huh?
i don't think anybody is 'hating' on the idea/event. i wrote in my post that i was more apt to watch the game, because snowboarding was involved.
regarding you comment of "But I guess that is tough for some of you to understand since you couldn't make it into college." look, i don't want to rub my higher edu-mu-cation in your face, however you should be aware that one never starts a sentence with a conjunction (in your case, the word "but"). secondly, never say such a thing-college is a privilege in this country: more than 40% of the population cannot afford.
jpopp, again, i really don't think anyone is bummed on the idea at all. if i can speak for all the riders in here, we wish you the best scoring a touchdown with one (or more) boulder cheerleaders after (or during, if she's 'down' for it) the game.

yeah, the cheerleader hook ups are worth it alone...
better 450 that sucker
backing that !!!
this is a great way to expose snowboarding period. snowboarding is mainstream, nothing we can do about it, embrace the direction snowboarding has gone in, laugh and have fun with it. being bitter is not good for your health, unless you are a lemon.
i may come off as sour and bitter half the time but thats just my schtick, its because i have 2 kids under 6
---
So the bitterness gets worse as the number of little ones increases, I only have one and I didn't think I could much more cynical. Damn, I hope my wife sticks around.
I must say its impressive to see where collegiate snowboarding has come. I founded a snowboard club at my university, made a lot of fun of the public speaking club through our 3-400 posters, and got all sorts of good trips out of it. However, we were never really accepted. I give you props for what you are doing, but you have to accept that there is a bit of a circus show aspect to it.

odd
its an odd thing you guys are putting on...when i think about it, youre just jumping into this big football game with all those jocks and football fans who probably think you are a bunch of high school kids and they have no appreciation or understanding of what you are doing. and im sorry to tell you this but you will probably hear more cheering when you guys bail then when you land.
he
does have a point. " ha skater fags " other meat neck " but they are snowboarding" first steak throat " fuck you , wanna die" meat neck " wooooooo go buffs "
dude brah
Odd? Snowboarding and skiing (oh no, he said skiing) is a big reason why a lot of people choose to go to CU. I think people will get pretty stoked if Mark, Rem, and crew throw down some spicy tricks. Anyway, a lot people at the games are just there to hang out with friends--not everyone's a jocked out sport fanatic. The girls don't give a shit about football, yet the stadium's always full of them. Also, the X-games this past year was overrun by CU students, I think a good number of people know what's up.
I'm stoked. See you guys there.

jea.
yea, exactly, snowboarding is all about talking shit, from the moment you roll up to the parking lot everyone on the mountain is judging you by your steeze and talkin shit to their friends, and mainly because they think you could be better. this event is something thats never been done before so everyone talking shit is just pissed that they either don't go to college, or your college isnt as sick as ours and doesnt do shit like this. you wouldnt talk shit if you were in it, or rode for CUST, or even went to CU, so just acknowledge that we're doing something that nobodys ever done before, or just dont talk shit becaues you wish you could be a part of CUST.

November 11th
There is no debate that snowboarding is the best thing ever! All of us can agree on that. The CU Snowboard Team would like to thank everyone that supports us. The show will go down on November 11th, so check us out.

hell yeah, if i could do it again i would not have gone to that 'nerd college' down the road. i would have gone to boulder and been the water boy for c.u.s.t. (and told all the chicks i'm shaun white's little brother).
whatever your thoughts are on collegiate snwoboarding c.u., boulder are the best-end of story.
