colorado trip!!

in feb. my buddies and i are going to colorado to ride. we are flying into denver, what would be the best place to ride for only three days? fri, sat and sun. looking to ride good park and freerding with poweder slashes. would it be best to ride a differnt place everyday, or to ride the same resort all weekend? any advice would be great!!

nice

depends on the snow and where you are staying.. i would recommend somewhere in summit county.. like breck, silverthorne, vail, whereever.. from any of those you can hit up keystone, breck, vail, beaver creek, loveland, copper pretty easy. if you are staying in the metro area its about 2hr max drive to all close resorts. anywhere you go is gonna have a good park and good freeriding.. copper, keystone, and breck all have good parks and lots of back bowls. vail is a bit on the flat side and gets crowded.. sick bowls.. beaver creek is a little more low key and the crowds stay on the grooms.. pow stashes in the trees.. most places are fully up and running now with multiple parks for different levels... good backcountry on loveland pass and berthoud pass..drop me a pm when you get out here i'll show you some shit

also closer to the metro area (denver, boulder) is winter park/mary jane.. winter park has a sick park and is hosting some HCSC sessions this year.. also on MJ there are some of the best tree riding in the state..

couch space? `

we are trhinking about this place in breckenridge? but some couch space sounds more affortable... i would be cool the be shown around thanks

tips

could i get some advice on lodging in silverthorne. i am goingto be there in feb. a nice place to stay and eat, and how are the highways from denver to silverthorne. we will be driving from the airport. a local insight would be great!!

Trip out in Colorado

If your comming to Colorado your going to want to stay in summit county. From summit county you can access several great places to ride. The first place you should check out is Copper Mountain (my favorite). Copper is a great place to start, because it has everything. There is ample rails, jumps, and hot chicks. From Silverthorne (a good place to stay for around $60 a night) Copper is about 15 minutes away. The next place you need to go is the legendary Breckenridge, CO. Breck is the bomb it was the first place to have their park up this year and remains one of the best parks in the country. The jumps are big and the pipe is world class. The night life is great for tourist too. Check out Mi Casa for some good times after riding. Breckenridge is about 25 minutes from Silverthorne. The last place you must see is Keystone Mtn. Keystone has a nice layout with a little bit of everything. It is also about 25 minutes from Silverthorne. The best part about Keystone is the Night riding. They turn on the lights and its party time. They have a tight rail yard lit up for night. The best part of night riding is hitting the groomers. They run at about 4:30pm from the top of the gondola all the way to the bottom. Check out the resorts web sites and plan accoringly. Have a good trip. I'll be asking the same question when I go out to Cali and Utah next season. Peace out, Chris Golden, Co

vail, copper, and a-basin. end of story.

breckenridge & keystone are flat, boring, full of people and ice... breck has a fun park but come on-how many laps are you going to make just in a park? skip these two places.
