Stairmaster reviews?

Thinking about getting this board. It's cheap, suits my riding style and size. But really why is it so much cheaper than the rest? Is this strictly a jib board or can it handle big kickers too? I could really careless about it's freeride abilities because i ride bear mountain and bombing hills just means more time in the lift lines.

solid.

I have ridden my stairmaster for like 1.5 seasons and i have to say it is the best $200 ive ever spent. i bought it new on ebay, but it held up this season like a champ. i cracked the tail a little when i landed back seat but honestly i have treated this board like shit and the base still looks legit! im 5'6'' 140lbs and i ride the 152 at the widest stance. there is basically no nose or tail so it sucks in pow but it shreds park and urban jibs. its not as soft as the artifact or the www but that just makes it better for big jumps. i would definitely recommend this board to the rider looking for a jib board/ park board thats on a budget.

i rode a stairmaster all last

i rode a stairmaster all last season and will be again this season.
It is is really fun. ITs so god damn light and is nice and soft but not too soft like the artifact and www which feel like a rubberband. I have ridden alot of the other jib/park boards like the www and artifact and the capita is by far the easiest to control also. alot of the other are too soft and take too much effort just to turn the board. Also i ride my board basically as hard as someone could and it has held up for a full year and im gonna hopefully squezze most if not all of a 2nd season on it.

I was surprised how well mine

I was surprised how well mine held up when doing speed groomers at Alpental with my friends on more freeride sticks. I'm by no means trying to argue that the Stairmaster's a quiver killer 'cuz it is a true park/jib board, but it does better than expected on the rest of the mountain.

i dont care what anyone else thinks...

Stairmasters are really rad. I've had one since the season began, and i LOVE it. super super light, easy to control, and a good all around park board (even though it is best as more of a jib board). I had no trouble at all taking it off of 40-ft. kickers and shit. For more info, read my posts on this blog...

Stairmaster

Pretty much everyone at Creek on a Capita is riding a Stairmaster. I haven't ridden one myself, but I've seen kids pull Cab 9s on them. I think one of the major reasons the board is a bit cheaper is that the base material is one of the cheapest you can buy (base material can affect board price by a significant amount, sintered base material is nearly twice as expensive to produce compared to your basic extruded material). Looking on the Capita site, I think the board is basically the Indoor Survival with a simpler graphic and a cheaper base.

stairmaster

i really liked the stairmaster. the only problem ive noticed is that capitas tend to break on the tips. my friend had one and came down on the nose and snapped the nose clean off. mine broke when i also came down on the nose. i know that there have been a least a few other capitas break that ive seen out here in breck. however capita is going to give me a new one so as long as you dont mind taking a chance its an awesome board to ride. itll handle the kickers as long as your landing solid on it.

why is it so much cheaper?

because it doesn't have all the extra bells anf whistles that alot of other higher end boards have. same quality materials just, clean cut and simple. No need to worry about quality.

Stairmasters Suck!!

Haaaa The stairmaster is the best damn board ive ever rode! Im 6foot1 and 160 pounds with a size 12 boot and i ride the 156 and it fits me perfectly no toe drag and the stance is perfect. I shred the rails and boost 7's off the kickers at my local hill so i think this board can handle anything except huge amounts of powder so i totally reccomend this board to anyone on a budget!

Info

My friend rides a stairmaster and seemes to really like it. He thought it was fine in pow, but he is only like 5'6" and 110 pounds. He also hits our home mountains "super-kicker" (only like 45') and doesnt complain

i am interested in a stairmaster. i am 210 pounds with size 11. will this be too small? amyone my size ride one? let me know!!

I've only put a few days on my Stairmaster, but I love it. Super buttery and soft, great for park, jibs and messing around on the groomers.

I'm 6'1" and almost 200lbs with a size 11 ThirtyTwo Lashed, and it works great as a park/jib board for me.

Almost forgot: The graphics on the 156 are fookin' HILARIOUS.

Hi, my first contribution to the site!

I'm also thinking of trying to get a Stairmaster (which may be easier said than done other here in the UK), so I'd also be interested in any comments about it. I'd be using it mostly for the indoor slopes in this country (so rails and tiny kickers).

If your after an indoor shredstick for some hardcore indoor uk stlye jibalicious riding then also look at an 07 Rome Artifact, bit softer than the Stairmaster and in my opinion a bit tougher, and can hold a butter the length of MK indoor slope, or a Libtech Box Scratcher - this board is a jib board from lib that has magne traction, and this makes a huge diference on the indoor snow, but i had to get mine from the US as no one in UK seems to stock em

stairmaster

Hi, Ive just bought my new stairmaster in the Uk from a shop called Big Dreams in dorset. www.bigdreamssnowboarding.com He has stock of a few capita boards including the capita stairmaster extreme, only 6 of them in the Uk and he has all six though they are selling damn quick coz theyre so limited. Its a rad board so get on to it!

Stairmasters FUN

haha I'm super high right now, but let me see if I can help... I live in Calgary and to get my stairmaster I had to get it shipped from NC. So it may be a hard task to find one.... But it is a super fun board on anything except powder, especially if you have your stance as wide at it can go (makes your nose like 10inches long... It's pretty stiff for being a jib board. It has awsome nollie and ollie power, cuzz its soooo light. It has pretty good edge control if your don't detune it at all... I've taken it only a couple times on jumps upto 20 feet and its alot harder to land than my 152, but I'm sure I just have to get use to it...

shradical

i am 5'11 140 pounds and had a 148 stairmaster super good for jibsand sill handeled jumps up to 50+ feet the board is amazing and you will progress tons cause you will try stuff because you dont give a shit about your board
