MODA3 blows up Milwaukee

"What needs to be written, that has not already been written. After four years, it has all been covered. It is cool.

Moda3 does a great job of creating a carnival feel. It is snowboarding in the early fall downtown at the historic 3rd Ward in Milwaukee! A rail and a wall ride enticed kids who have super strong knee ligaments to throw super tech tricks. There was a $1000 buck up for grabs. But before it could be won, it rained.

It seems to be a key part of the Moda3 comp. The last three years, it has rained! Not all night, it rained just a minute or two. Very freaky and of course, it stops nothing. The people scurried back up on the bleachers, and the comp continued on! On a personal point, it is always fun to see the du's from Minnesota, such as Zac Marben, Joe Sexton, and Jordan Michilot.

The kids performed killer considering. The pros, Mason Aguirre, Molly Aguirre, and Stevie Bell, chatted up the crowed and encouraged the kids to risk neck breaks for $100 bucks. Although, I get the feeling the hundred bucks was more a ploy for encouraging stupid human tricks than a reality.

Josh Nelson took home $1000 bucks for first, Nate Lavik took the $500 bucks for second, and Chaz Chaffe got third. They all were impressive.
