Wolf Creek Opens This Weekend

This is a big deal, especially if you have been there for opening weekend. We did a road trip out there from Snowboarder one year and it was epic. In an effort to bring the tribe together, I am recommending that everyone stay at the Best Western in Pagosa Springs. It is a little bit further than some of the other hotels but is located walking distance from the Hot Springs, which are epic. Plus they have wireless access in your room, an indoor pool and free breakfast.

I have contacted them and they are working on getting some kind of discount together for people who mention Snowboard Mag.

Wolf Creek Ski Area – Earliest Opening Ever! On Friday, October 27th, Wolf Creek Ski Area will celebrate its earliest opening ever with 57 inches of snowfall from September and October! Wolf Creek Ski Area is reporting an all-natural snow depth of 15 inches at the midway and 23 inches at summit. Early season conditions do exist. Treasure, Bonanza and Nova lifts will open at 8:30 AM while construction continues on the new Raven Lift.

time for a road trip

Hell yeah, that best western is the only place i stay in pagosa.... Ballin on a budget yo. Just took care of reservations, and a rental car. Should be a sweet weekend of riding, hopefully they get some more snow this week. See you guys in the hotel bar on friday night.

Does anyone know the snow conditions? I know it's epic pre season, but this seems too early. I will also bring my summit 173 instead of my lock on board. (had to beat drago to the punch) Maybe a webcam?
