it looks like you guys are getting soaked up there.
and more is on the way.
too bad the temp isn't low enough to turn all that into some snow.
it'd be nice if that storm dipped down into CO and gave us another present.
i think it's pretty much staying up in WY and SD though.
Mt. Baker received 15 inches of new snow in the past 24 hours and with another 2 feet of snow forecasted to fall over the weekend and continued snowfall early next week.
The current weather trend combined with the forecasted snowfall has allowed us to set a TENTATIVE OPENING DAY FOR NEXT THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 16th.
Final opening day plans will be made sometime late Tuesday or early Wednesday after a significant front is expected to pass over the area. Total snowfall after this front will determine if the ski area will open.
We will update opening day plans daily on our website and snow report.

that's dope the hill is getting snow out of it then. i didn't really see it saying anything about that. i'm stoked for you guys! have a fun opening day, share some pics with us!
Finally gettin some white tonight here in Tahoe too. That storm is cold and rollin into town strong from the NW (it was freezin nips up here today!). We should be getting it all day tomorrow too. Not too much precippy (I'm callin 4-8"), but its definitely finally getting colder (and whiter) so they'll atleast be able to blow snow (decently) on the hills and hold on to what they get (cause they don't got much). Should be down to 12 deg tomorrows eve. Wow... I truly think Old Man Winter might be gracing us with his presence. Thanks, Old Man! : )
Sorry to hear about the rain causing damage up in WA. Good to hear about all your snow this season thus far and Baker opening up on the 16th. We are hopeful Tahoe will be open (and on decent snow) by Thanksgiving... No comment. (I'm trying my best to stay positive here. CO.. You are SUCH a TEASE.)
I didn't venture down to Mammoth yesterday as planned... and didn't feel too bad about it. You all saw the pics... OUCH. The SW needs a big white bandaid right now (we'll pass on the'white ribbon of death', thank you). Hopefully we get it tonight and tomorrow. I'm wishin for a (mini)snow-day.
