Roxy Chicken Jam Changes Location to Kaprun

Chicken Jam 2007 St. Moritz

ROXY CHICKEN JAM LAST MINUTE LOCATION CHANGE FROM SWITZERLAND TO AUSTRIA

Innsbruck, Austria - Poor snow conditions in St Moritz forces the season’s first all-girl SIX(6) STAR event Roxy Chicken Jam to relocate to the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier Park at Kaprun, Austria, for the scheduled weekend of 15th-17th December, 2006.

High temperatures caused a lack of snow at the planned destination of Engadine/St.Moritz snowpark. Instead of canceling, the organizers take on the additional work to move the event to
the snowboard capital of the Salzburg County, Kaprun, ten days before it starts.

“We at Roxy said from the beginning it is the most important thing that the competition takes place – even if we have to move the event at very short notice”, Roxy Chicken Jam organizer Tina Birbaum said. “Now the riders are looking forward to the event even more – and we do, too!” The world’s best female snowboarders meet for the 4th Roxy Chicken Jam Europe to claim the title 20,000 euro prize-purse and 1000 girl SIX(6) STAR points towards the Women's TTR World Tour Ranking List. 25 invited riders from eleven countries including TTR World Snowboard Tour Champion and Roxy Chicken Jam Europe defending title-holder Cheryl Maas (NED); Natasza Zurek (CAN) winner of the Roxy Chicken Jam USA 05; and snowboard legend, Tara Dakides (USA) will compete in the main session on Saturday, together with the five best girls from Friday’s 30-rider qualification, for an 8-rider rider final.
