Sierra-at-Tahoe hosted The Block Party contest on Saturday afternoon. The lack of snow in Tahoe didn't stop snowboarding's cream of the crop who threw down every trick imaginable during the one hour jam session on the custom course designed by SPT. Mark Frank solely judged the 30 pro shreds competing for $10,000, a Boost Mobile phone, and a Kicker speaker system. One after another, contestants like Lucas Magoon, Louie Vito, Eddie Wall, Aaron Bittner, Travis Kennedy, Stevie Bell and Jake Devine (pictured above) wrecked the features at hand.

It's hard to fully explain the energy and vibe of the athletes and crowd—with a low pressure contest focused on style rather than gnarly tricks, the level of snowboarding talent showcased was phenominal. MFM (above) raised the bar in terms of a contest/party and entertainment and just plain fun.

Lucas Magoon annihilated the course like no other winning him 1st place, a nice pocket of cash, a Boost phone, and an amazing carved mexican eagle to fly home with. 15-year-old Jed Anderson (pictured above) showed up many of his older counterparts riding flawlessly and walking away with a nice cash prize and an Aztec trophy. South Lake local and wildcard Asa Martinez surprised the crowd with his top notch skills grabbing 3rd place, some benjamin’s, and Aztec memorabilia. The Visionairies performed to close the amazing day and get everyone amped for the crazy night ahead. At the Block, the party don't stop and it won't stop...
