No more ranting
Yes, the controversy was resolved. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
support the "real deal"
ESPN and other media moguls of the snowboard industry should be honored to be of mention in this web site.
I am rest assured knowing that SNOWBOARD Magazine, as well as snowboard-mag.com, are operated from top to bottom by people who actually snowboard. Any information presented in this web site would be done solely with intentions of informing its readers-- people who actually snowboard.
eh?
I feel like a noob, but did I miss something? The heading was something regarding controversy, but lookin' for a little something spicy I find nothing controversial here? Is it that X-Games draws in thousands upon thousands of dollars yet still doesn't reward riders much in the way of prize money? That wouldn't be coverage though. Where is the controversy? I feel I'm missing something.
Here is the deal
We ended up using some pics and words we did not have rights to on the site (as did TW snow). we got a call fromn ESPN (and their Lawyers) (scary!) They actually turned out to be really cool people who have beeen involved with snowboarding for a long time. In actuality, the contraversy stemmed from our misues, but we have it all workeed out.We were sweating for a minute but those guys were super cool and gave us guidelines to properly use their materials.
