PLEASE HELP ME GET A NEW BOARD!!!

Hey all, I'd really appreciate some advice on buying a new board....I ride primarily in Cali (Tahoe)....I've been riding for about 10 years and i want to progress...I'm 6'2''...+220 lbs...Size 11 boot...I do mostly freeriding...A little bit of park, not much...I'm looking for an all-mtn type board i think....These are some of the boards I'm considering....If any of you know anything about these, or any others that might be good for me, let me know...Thanks a lot

Sapient----Divide 164

Rome---Flag

Never Summer---Legacy 163

Lib Tech---Dark Series 164

GNU---11 Up Series

High Society---Empire 164

Well

We Think:

And not to toot our own horn... but The Lucid Notion Snowboard Company makes the DeFy series for exactly what you are looking for. All mountian...freeride, and a little park! Check it out.
Personally, I don't call out other companies... but if you were not to find a DeFy in a store near you... or were not able to get one by other means ( for some reason a lot of them get stolen ...we don't know why) the Rome or Gnu are your best choice out of your list. The High Society may be a good choice, but I don't know much about them... and don't bother with a Never Summer or Sapient......

hope my little interjection helps.

New board...

What about the K2 Zeppelin? They describe it as:
".. the Zeppelin has offered peak to park performance for 11 years now. With a 4000 Ceramic Sintered base and Hyper Progressive Sidecut, the Zeppelin delivers speed and control. With a smooth and consistent release of energy perecisely when you need it, the Ti- A Power Fork technology, Multi Polar Core and directional twin shape give you maximum pop charging the fall line from hit or spinning off a cornice."

*rubs sore fingers from all that typing* lol

I haven't ridden as much as you, but I have been told this is a really good board, so I got one to progress also. I found it on e-bay brand new, and cheaper than at the store.

Also, there is a newer board company called ZION Boards. Maybe they have something for you???
Hope you find the right one for you!

Listen to Lucid Notion . . dont get a K2.

Not K2...

Heay eski mofo,... I'm newer to snowboarding and learning as much as I can. So I'm wondering why you said not to get a K2. Again, I'm not challenging you... just curious. :)
Thanks.

I could give you endless reason about them being a ski company, or their product not being built very well and all of that is well documented elsewhere on this website . . . . Click here to see the debate
. . . but the reason i would not go for a K2 or for that matter a Ride or a burton is that i have found that sometimes when you look past the obvious big brand choices you will be well rewarded. There are a lot of great little companies out there putting our awesome product at great prices, companies like Lucid Notion, Automaton, Sined, O-Matic, Stepchild, and on a larger scale Libtech, Gnu, Rome etc . . i think this companies put a little more heart and soul into a shred stick, something that usually shines through on the hill.

Not K2...

Ahhhhh. I understand. Thanks for the info! I understand,.... I was hoping to get a Zion snowboard this season, but Hubby got me the K2 instead. I found one on e-bay used, and snagged it. I want to try it out, mainly for the same reasons. A newer company that seem to put their heart into their product.
Thanks for the info,.. it's always appreciated!

Those are all good boards

Except High Society, don't know much about them.
