Axia became reality when Trent Rock and Colin Strutz hooked up with pro riders Tommy Czeschin, Chris Runge and Matt Lindenmuth. For years, the rider community and pros like Chris, Tommy and Matt thought it would be beyond cool to create a company that was rider owned and completely focused on making the best possible snowboards while using the most advanced materials available. They envisioned using the perfect combinations of materials, processes and rider-generated feedback - all coupled to the freshest graphics imaginable. Trent and Colin, buddies from college and natives of Colorado and North Dakota, had grown up on winter sports and wanted to create the most unique, customer focused snowsports company possible. After some early joint development with Indy-car and other hi-tech material partners on a concept board that used carbon fiber and kevlar reinforcements, the Axia team began working with Ryan Monson of Monson Boards to bring to market the best overall park, all-mountain and pipe boards possible. Under the guidance and support of Tommy and Matt acting as product line managers, Axia has now unveiled a directional mountain board, an all-terrain twin tip in cap and sandwich designs, a young ripper twin tip line, a line designed exclusively for the leg power and body mass combos of lady riders and the high performance Tommy Czeschin Pro Model - the most insane board that 2002 Olympian & 2006 World Cup Champion Tommy Czeschin has ever ridden.
In 2006, Axia acquired Monson Boards to complete the cirlce and bring Ryan and his team at Monson fully into the family where the focus continues to be the pursuit of snowboard nirvana.2006 also brought investment and expansion at the plant in Montclair, > CA, and the team continued to grow with the addition of up-and-coming young guns Jake Ferguson of MN, Cody and Kaylee Carlson of MN and Trenton Pasic of CO.
For the 2006/2007 competition season, Axia has modified and mproved our Tommy Pro Model and the team is looking to improve on a great first year that saw 10 top 20 finishes -including Tommy's win at the Nokia World Cup in Lake Placid
awesome
that has got to be the most cliche description of a snowboard company I have ever heard. pretty sure every single new snowboard company that comes out uses that exact same format when writing a press release.
yeah
I completely agree.I was chuckling to myself when I read that.A snowboard company for the rider by the rider.who woulda thought.
Worth every penny
It is true that some of the model names are a bit whacked, however I found them late this summer and decided to buy one of their boards. A risky move for sure considering how many new brands pop up and dissappear, but absolutely worth it!!! The board rocks and they have a solid rider.....
(.)(.)
oh, well, since YOU like it so much, well fuck we should all buy one.
that would be great.....
but not everyone can afford a bently...

awesome
///™ Tickle my fruit stand...
i'll tell you what's not 'awesome' is calling one of your board lines "fruitstand'...or 'ice cream man' for that matter.

(.)(.)
no doubt, so retarded, why in gods name would a company name its line of boards after the graphics that are on the top sheet? thats straight out of big box store retailing 101. IDIOTS. Tommy, hang your head in shame, Jesus is mad at you for this one dude.
Axia's new stuff...
Hey, I found these guys a few months ago and took a look at there stuff. At first I thought "yeah right" but then it grew on me. I went to local retailers and looked at other brands and they were all shit. I cant believe that they can sell that quality on the shelf, but whatever. So I ended up buying a board from these guys and let me tell you it is the most kick ass board that I have ever riddin. The flex is insane and the construction is so clean it makes those "other" guys look like SHIT. These guys know how to build boards and have my business. I say give them a chance you might be suprised.
