THE BLOCK PARTY Does it Again!

Block 2006 PR #2 Block Box

Lucas Magoon takes 1st Place at Sierra "Schoolyard Rail Jam" wins $10,000 cash prize

December 22, 2006, South Lake Tahoe, CA- THE BLOCK Party '06, brought to you by THE BLOCK Hotels, Boost Mobile, and Sierra at Tahoe, once again delivered on the promise of a debauchery-filled three days in South Lake Tahoe.

The Third Annual BLOCK Party kicked off winter in style. From the welcome reception at THE BLOCK, to the fun-filled Nitro Welcome Party at Boost Nightclub inside Bill's Casino, to the high electricity Snowboarders Ball afterparty at Vex...and that was just the first day. Throw in a custom rail jam, separate on snow performances by MYG and Kable, and the legendary "Visionaries", and then lead into an after-party featuring Ghostface Killa and The Beatnuts, and then an "after hours" after-after party at Club Blu, well you can start to understand the magnitude of BLOCK Party '06. Three days wrapped into one huge PARTY.

"I don't know how we do it, but it keeps getting better each year...thanks to Cris Jorcin at Harrahs, Paul Reider at Montbleu and John Rice and Jen Kotter at Sierra, otherwise, we'd just be a bunch of snowboarders having beer around a firepit,"...says Liko S. Smith, President and Co-founder of THE BLOCK Hotels..."This BLOCK Party had it all, world-class riders killing it on and off the snow, the best raw hip hop on the planet, and even a few 'hook ups' and 'beat downs' for good measure and kicks," he says. "A few thousand of Marco's closest friends helped plan, execute, and enjoy the best BLOCK Party yet...but wait 'til you see what we have planned for next year,.... we're just getting started," Smith finishes.
