SIA 2007 DAY 1 SUPERPOST

Yeah, I know it's a little overdue—but now that the 2007 SIA tradeshow in Las Vegas is doneski, there’s finally some time to get the posts up. Between Dingo’s Birthday Bash, Bam’s bachelor party, lap dances at the strip clubs, the Rome bar in the trade show and actually trying to get some work done at the same time…it can get a little crazy. I must've slept a grand total of 6 hours during the 96-hour long party that is SIA. You’ve seen a couple posts from Mark so far, but here's an onslaught of photos from Day 1, with many more headed your way. Enjoy.

You know where we were at all week: The Hard Rock Hotel lit up in SNOWBOARD Green.

J1 and Jeff Baker kickin' off the Circle Bar.

Look who's here! Draplin and Danny—Grenade's shining stars.

It wasn't long before Ricky piled us into a limo headed for the strip club.

Kale Stephens was 'bout it 'bout it.

J2. Respeckognize.

After a sleepless first night, we stumbled into the show Monday morning and ran into the Volcom boys for a little granola hippie power. Peace Off.

The Rome boys—"On a Mission from God."

Bluebird Willie: The most ballanist dude ever.

Ahmon Stamps—still stoked from his trip to Jamaica last month.

Hippie on cell phone; almost as funny as ASR's "Caveman on cell phone."

Forum's Evan Rose's first trip to The Buzz's barber chair. Word is he nearly lost it when someone mentioned he shouda called it, "Budget Cuts".

Bonus Schwag from The Buzz. Yes, people actually picked these up off the floor.

Camo Volvo: Pretty dope.

Forecast crew ova at The Yard.

MFM was holdin' it down with his Monavie twins.

The Block's Rhi and Liko hamming it up for the camera.

SIDENOTE: I watched "The Block" tonite on G4 for the first time. It was The Block Party episode, and it was awful. They made Gary look terrible and that's not at all how it really went down. Liko and Kevin should be ashamed of themselves for allowing that to air. I'll have more to say on this later.

DC's Renne Renne gettin' the job done.

Lyrics Born on the mic.

The Nikita girls showing off the ultra exclusive "White Wedding" SNOWBOARD hat.

The Rome Bar was banoodles all week long.

I ran into Justin Bemis ova at the Union Booth.

Check out the bindings they made for us! So sick.

It's all about the details.

Around 7 PM we finally got outta there and took a little detour on the way home. Take a left at New York, New York and you'll see the flashing In-N-Out burger sign. It's a must stop for any Vegas visit.

A quick bite to eat and it was off to Dingo's Birthday Bash at Sapphire Gentlemens Club, which claims to be the world's largest, featuring hundreds of beautiful entertainers. I really wouldn't know because I never made it past the open bar. I wonder if Ikka, Max Jenke or Paavo ever found out.

NIce sticker Pinski.

Trouble Andrew opened up the show.

SLC Squad.

After Trouble satisfied the rock and roll crowd, it was time for Cuba's Pitbull to hype it up with cuts from his hit album El Mariel. For some reason I never thought I'd see Pitbull on stage with Grenade bone hands behind him. First time for everything I guess.

Zimmerman was all dressed up for Dingo.

Ay Chico—La Lengua Afuera!

Danny and Dingo were on stage the whole show—lovin' it. Happy B-Day Dings!

This shot is fuckin' classic.

Renne Renne: always the life of the party.

Emily and Danille. Still eleventeen, still in the club.

Finally it was time for the main event: Ricky Ross, the Boss.

Lauri...would the Nomis guys approve of all this?

Guess who I found! Lexi and Leanne: etnies party patrol.

Jeff Keenen too...gettin' wasted like a true Canadian.

And Marius...getttin' wasted like a true Euro.

The "dancers" were still on stage in force.

Chrissy Pross watchin' Ricky Ross, and Pinski flippin' off.

Lotta SNOWBOARD Mag hats in the house.

Blottizzy.

Mo mo mo mo money, I need, I need, I need cash.

Scotty the Body and Chaloux. I think I've taken this shot before.

Man, how many good shots of Rick Ross can I get? It's hard being this good, it really is.

The boys still lovin' it.

Bemis likes it.

He like dat too.

Whistler was reppin' hard this year.

Stripes are so hot right now.

Fresh in my white tee.

Now that's a chain!

Get it girl.

It's Ricky Rizzle the rich nizzle, the rich nizzle.

Yo, Rick Ross is killin' it! Where you at!?!

Mags keepin' it gangsta.

Mikey says, "Who is this Rick Ross guy anyway?"

Eventually it was all over, and as always we ended the night back at the Hard Rock circle bar. JF Pelchat, DC's Cristina Kown, Ikka and Biitner. Okay, it's 5:30 AM. I'm hittin' Lucky's (Hard Rock's 24-hour diner) and callin' it. We gotta do this all again tomorrow.

Rock and Roll. Peace off.
