BOULDER, CO (February 22, 2007) - Storm Mountain Publishing Company (SMP), parent company of SNOWBOARD magazine, has promoted Jeff Baker to the role of Publisher & Editor-in-Chief of SNOWBOARD . The news was announced today by SMP President/CEO Bradford Fayfield.
“The team at SNOWBOARD is among the most talented in the industry, and Jeff Baker has proven to be a natural leader on that team,” said Fayfield. “His guidance will serve SNOWBOARD extremely well in the coming years.”
An industry veteran, Baker is a founding member of SNOWBOARD and has served as the Editor-in-Chief of the magazine since its inception three years ago. Baker will lead the current SNOWBOARD staff into its fourth season of publishing.
Baker will replace departing publisher, Mark Sullivan. “Mark’s ambition and resourcefulness were instrumental in guiding SNOWBOARD from a start-up magazine into one of the most trend-setting magazines in the industry,” said Fayfield. “Mark’s vision and hard work helped make SNOWBOARD what it is today, and under the leadership of Baker, the team is excited about taking the magazine to the next level.”
Other than Sullivan, the SNOWBOARD staff remains unchanged, and the team will continue to grow in the coming months through additional hires.
