I'm surprised to see a Pacific Northwest-based outerwear company with such skimpy waterproofing. Maybe the price's cheap?
we are using a 8,000mm fabric on production, some things like that got switched up when we went to china, things are on the up and up. and dude i think 8,000 should be ok, unless it's raining, and then you should be in that bar anyways looking for girls.
Waterproofing is over-rated. If you care about that stuff, then go to a camping store and buy Gortex. Prosser is ill and he runs snowboard fashion. That's what atmosphere is about.
waterproofing definately IS over-rated. as long as it's 8,000, or in some cases 5,000, depending on the brand and type of material, you'll stay dry unless its raining.
Well, I have no problem picking up some OR goretex gear at the camp shop, its quality shit... but I definitely appreciate some decent waterproofing on my outerwear gear and its something I look for when picking some up. And there is definitely some good product to choose from that provides it. There's nothing wrong Atmosphere's style... its clean for sure... but the waterproofing is a great suggestion and poss something to consider for next season. Quality, Function and Style build a good product, imo... style alone just doesn't cut it.
Agreed. Anyone who rides the wet snow of the Pacific Northwest knows. I've been soaked to the skin in 10,000mm after just a couple hours with zero rain and just wet snow out here. I like Atmosphere's style, but riding Snoqualmie and Alpental, it's unfortunately off my list for prospective outerwear, as I'd rather be dry wearing some superplain Sessions with high waterproofing than soaked wearing some stylish gear.
respect each and every time! Give thanks for the higher conscious efforts!
Be grateful.
cant wait till next year stuff. i hope they are goingto be in scocali
