Since you're riding Michigan, you could get away with the 153 easily, but it would be more of a park length. (Do you expect to do more park? Then going a little short is fine. Do you expect to gain more weight? If so, then go longer.)
If you're about the Magne-Traction for the icy conditions, the Lib TRS 154 would treat you right. That's a solid all-mountain freestyle stick.
The Libs are dope!
The libs are dope for sure.... and the magne-deal! Seriously.. Mike and Pete have lost it!
I do know of a snowboard company that does not have magne... but did do extensive testing this year at Indianhead and Spirit Mountain. The Lucid Notion DeFy will handle all your ice needs as will any board with properly tuned edges. Look into it...
And if it were my lib... I would hit the MC Kink with the old-school retro Cummins graphics! Damn.. those were the days!

what about powder riding?
alot of the time i like to hit the ungroomed tree runs and also i take some trips to colorado, as well as hitting the park - would this board, say the 153 or 154 be alright for powder riding considering my height and weight?

154 in pow for you is not ideal, but if you go longer, then it feel like you're driving a schoolbus when you take it in the park. If you do more park than powder, get a mid-size (or smaller) board and just move the bindings back on pow days.

Hey Michigan...
Are you on the LP or are you a uper? If you are rockin' Crystal, Mt Holiday or Boyne and it there is no Lake Effect Snow... you can get by with a 55.
If you rock the UP and hit Blackjack or Indianhead... you may need to step the size up a bit to enjoy the longer runs.
And if you find yourself at breck, copper, winterpark or vail a few times per year... that shorter board will kill you. The runs are much too long for you to enjoy them on a short board. Size up to a 59 or 62 and kill the trees on mary jane...the longer size will help you on breck's 80 ft kicker too! Happy Hunting for your new stick!

It's tough to find a board that is going to slay every type of riding you throw at it. The TRS is very well-rounded though. I would just get the 154 Total Ripper Series and move the bindings back if it's a pow day.

it might not be optimal but a 154 would be fine for pow, i ride a 154 and 151 and have ridden both in the park and in pow and have been fine. and i am 6 ft and 165
go for
the 157. that'll handle just fine on everything.
