This past weekend resorts all over Colorado saw impressive snow accumulations. With more than a foot of snow falling in some areas, spring breakers, Front Rangers and destination vacationers enjoyed face shots all weekend – Mother Nature's way of letting everyone know that Colorado's ski season is still going strong. So strong in fact, that Vail Mountain extended its season and plans to keep Blue Sky Basin and its back bowls open through its April 22nd closing day. Aspen Highlands extended its season to April 8, and, thanks to daylight savings time, both Keystone and Crested Butte are staying open until 6:00p.m. and 5:30p.m. respectively through April 8.

Colorado's great snow and its extended hours are complemented with even better spring events. There's something for everyone in Colorado this month. For girls who love to rip up the slopes, head to Silverton Mountain for the Sisters in Steeps Weekend, April 28-29. If that doesn't float your boat, Monarch Mountain's Second Annual Kayaks on Snow Boatercross will. On April 7, kayaks will be sent down a special course with berms, rollers and small jumps. For the whole family, guests can make their way to Copper Sunsation, or Breckenridge's Spring Massive for live bands, entertainment, on-hill events and more. Don't forget about Arapahoe Basin. Now is the perfect the time to grab the kids, the sunscreen, make a few runs, and have a bar-b-que on the beach at A-Basin.
