Has snowboarding become too removed from the snow?

Yes, I feel like snowboarding has become too commercialized and removed from its roots.

No, I think snowboarding should be put up on a pedestal and given as many Mountain Dew commercials as possible.

Yes, so much so that I try to distance myself from most snowboard media outlets, as they do not represent snowboarding to me.

snow bording being removed from its roots?

B.S. if any thing snow boarding's been held back too long, let the boarders take over all the mountians it's up to the manufacters to keep it real , so the consumer can do the same. advances in the sport are do to supply and demand, we demand more, they make more, progression comes from profit, so if you want to stick to your roots, you would be riding some pretty wack board, lookin like a clown, in a 1970's get up jump suit, lame!
