YEAH LIB TECH
is the skate banana going to come in wides? i have a size 13 boot and want to get the banana for the rocker.
Thanks
Jamie Lynn Phoenix Series, both boards have killer graphics...but seeing as thats not what i base getting a new stick on... Just wondering about the flex of the phoenix series? what is it comparable to? is it deece for park + Jumps etc. Does anybody ride a Jamie Lynn? and How is it? can i butter? is it alright on rails?(though thats not really a big problem for me if it isn't)
Also the banana series looks pretty dope.
Does anyone know if the Skunk Apes will come in a regular width? I would be stoked on the rib air core/MT combo.
no, they will all be wide.
So what's this new "Banana Technology"? It looks expensive...
it is a freestyle board whose core and geometries are constructed on the basis of providing a stiffer tip and tail for pop, while the platform of the board provides a reverse camber when laid flat on the snow, thus giving it a banana like rocker look, along with magne traction edge work coupled with a slightly softer stomach (or mid section)...
all this wrapped into one is supposed to allow the rider to have an all around riding machine that will work on boxes/rails and be able to ride in powder, as well in big booter back country land.
to me the waist width looks narrow (not sure on the stats) but both people i know who have ridden it really like them. i think it would be a fun second board to have (maybe).
Craig Kelly Forever.
i rode one for a while at Baker last February and thought it was probably the most playful board i've been on. i don't think the tip/tail are supposed to be that stiff, in fact the thing wants to butter... that could be due in part to the shape. i have never ridden any of the HCFS boards, but it was one of the softest Libs i have ridden. i own and have owned many.i had the luck and pleasure to ride up the lift with two guys from Lib that day, one of which was one of the designers. he said they were still working on the camber and flex, so it could change. i would have paid full price for the used demo i was on that day. i think the guy in the booth said they should retail for $420ish.
I got to try a Banana at Snogs for the 4/20 Grenade Games (thanks, Kyle!), and I loved the flex. The tip and tail had a medium flex, but between the bindings (where the reverse camber is) was really soft. It buttered far better than my Stairmaster that has 30+ days on it. The cool thing is, it still rode like a normal all-mountain freestyle stick (NOT like a noodle) when freeriding and on groomers. I hope they keep the flex the same.
I imagine the limited release of the TRS with Banana Tech will be stiffer. Go for that if they don't stiffen up the Skate Banana.
I loved the Banana Skate though and hope to pick one up this fall. RIPPS.
I just bought a 152 stairmaster, ive been working on flexing it, but i might need a board next year, so is lib softer than capita?
Prepare For World Domination
yes every lib is softer than every capita? are you for fucking real?
yeah...wow haha I was gonna type "in general" but somehow forgot
Yeah, I had to do a double-take after that one as well.
To Jibstikk - the Skate Banana is softer than the Stairmaster when buttering due to the Banana Tech in the middle, but it feels a little more stable than the Stairmaster when riding. But, normally Libs (and Mervins in general) are a good deal stiffer than Capitas. (That's a generalization though, as it definitely depends on what boards you're looking at.)
I'm not sure I caught your post or if you might need a new stick due to the flex of the Capita, so I'm a bit confused.
Either way, the Stairmaster is a superfun, killer stick. It's a jib board, so it's definitely got a soft flex, but as far as jib boards go, it's not the softest (see WWW or Artifact). I've usually found Mervin boards to be on the stiffer end, but the Banana Tech made the Banana Skate the softest buttering board I've ever ridden, yet it would still ride like a normal all-mountain freestyle board when not pressing.
I hope that helps some.
...just why yellow? I mean c'mon.
because apples are red.
