But they ride so well...

jibbah
Ah, againstme4life, if only you knew. While I do appreciate your feedback, I was hoping to hear from someone who has actually sampled K2 and knows how well they ride. Countless years of snow-sliding technology goes into this product, thanks to their skiing roots. Sure there are several North American companies that produce killer equipment, but your response neither taught me anything new, nor changed my opinion of K2.

If you can honestly tell me that you purchase only North American made goods, then I can honestly call you a liar.

Next time K2 is at your local hill for a demo, take one for a ride and then let me know what you think.

p.s. You spelled "faught" wrong. It's "fought." If you're going to attempt an ethical stance on anything, at least take the time to spell correctly.

i had a ride mickey leblanc a

i had a ride mickey leblanc a few years ago and it was the biggest piece of shit on earth. i can honestly say that the boards dont hold up, and that was a higher end model. so yes, i have about 50 days worth of experience on a ride/k2. no i dont only purchase north american made goods. part of the problem with this system is it allows only the wealthy to participate in consumer activism, due to higher prices in union made clothes, free trade coffee and organic food. but with buying a snowboard its easy to support independent companys who've adapted ethical labor standards. k2 are just in it to make a quick dollor, they dont give a shit about snowboarders, workers or the enviroment. so go ahead and support these assholes who dont give a shit about anyone, while there are so many rad companys out there trying to make a difference.

K2

HYER! I used a K2 at a demo in sierra summit, board was stiff, with a pleasent pop for great air! all around, it was a good board, not my prefferance deck, but any time on the slopes is a good one. there is a nother k2 demo comming up soon at Sierra Summit. by the way, who cares about spelling. This is a snowboard web site, not an english class. later dayzzz!

word.

as long as you get your point across.
p.s. they ride good for about a week, but dont expect them to hold up.

why buy these pieces of shit,

why buy these maade from slave labor, pieces of shit, when there are so many rad snowboard companys out there? support illuminati, lucid notion, step child, endeavor, never summer, unity, but not these corporate, expoiting assholes. the knights of labor party faught hard for the rights of american workers in the 1800's. now its time to stand up for the chinese laborers who work long hours and get paid very little.

2008 Believer

jibbah

I have narrowed this year's board choice down to three, one of which is the 157 Believer. The only thing stopping me from buying a K2 is that in the past I have had very back luck with delaminations, especially during the years of the A-Stars when K2 was using full cap construction. I had Travis Parker's second last pro model with K2, and it featured hybritech construction, which was a bit more durable, but this board also delammed at the tip due to construction and not impact.

Has K2 improved their construction, or are they still the same as they once were? When will K2 opt for the more durable full sidewall construction?

Comments please.

3 A-Star delams.
1 Brian Savard "Streamer" delam.
1 Travis Parker Pro model delam.

jibpan

ehi what do you think of jibpan?it seems perfect for jumps and park but i don't know about butter....do you think this is gonna be the stiff one of the line?thanks

WWW

the top sheet looks soo sick in person

believer

does anyone know how the believer rides i was just wondering what kind of riding it is made for...stiff or soft. Im likeing the graphics!

i rode the believer last year

imagine a mix between the zeppelin and the darkstar, with a blunted nose and tail .... soft enough to butter, but definately holds up under a high speed carve. i rode park with it, and rode one of the few powder days tahoe had last year on it and it was great..... the graphics are actuallly embossed onto the topsheet (think burton's dominant with the gucci print). it looks super sick...

B Lee Va

I rode the Believer as well this past season at Bear Mtn. so you know pow shots was a definite no...at least this season (you a lucky man, Metz). It's a fun board to ride. Very easy to handle and wasted no time trying to get accustomed to it. I felt full control the whole time riding it. It is softer than what I'm use to riding, but it didn't affect my riding. Metz said it well, "soft enough to butter, but definitely holds up under a high speed carve" although I will say that it is a bit softer than what I'm use to. It also has good pop, but I will say that I feel my Lib Tech Dark Series has more pop. I would say its an all mountain freestyle board.

you can actually already see the benefit that Jarden Ultra Mega Giant corp is bringing to the table, the believer has a new "crock pot tech" core that allows you to heat up some campbells soup right after you stick that sick tindy
