Snoqualmie Pass, Wash. April 18th, 2007– The Summit at Snoqualmie will host the Grenade Crew and their third annual Grenade Games taking place this Friday and Saturday at Summit West.

In celebration of a great winter season, Grenade and The Summit are pulling out all of the stops in this two-day snowboarding event featuring contests, music, food, and plenty of after parties.

Additionally, The Summit has built a brand new superpipe as well as several new snow features exclusively for this weekend’s event.

While technically one lucky amateur snowboarder will be deemed the winner of the event and join Grenade’s snowboarding team, the Games are simply a celebration of the snowboarding lifestyle, as well as an awesome Northwest season.

Pro snowboarders from across the country, including Olympian Danny Kass, will ride alongside with local amateurs all in the name of fun. Usually held at June Mountain in California, this year’s Grenade Games are expected to draw about 1,000 people (both participants and spectators) to The Summit and the greater Seattle area.

General Admission lift tickets will be $10 each day at Summit West.

Was Wondering...

...what they were gonna do since June so sadly closed. It was a great time last year and nice to spend the last day on that lovely hill as a bluebird w/Friends. Today was the last day last season and was a nasty one ending up with J7 closing at like 1pm. Lost my damn keys on the hill that day of the Games (1st time I've ever sacrificed keys to the mtn- grr, Coops actually found em for me in August!). Jetta keys can't just be remade and furthermore, have to be coded at the dealer- they wanted to tow my damn car to Reno! Hence, it added to the memorable day it was...

This should be a bad-ass time up in WA... wish I could make it. Much love and luck for another good times event. It says 4:20 AND the 21st... what's goin on with that??

Two-Day Fest This Year

Should be a good one!

monster piles

I noticed they were pushing up 2 monster piles of snow this weekend at West. Not sure what they are building but it is going to be big.

I saw that, too. So this is

I saw that, too. So this is going to go down at West instead of Central then? Also, do you think the lift(s) will be open to the public? I've never been to any Grenade Games before, so I'm not sure. (Not sure if I'll be persecuting for wearing DefCon's either!)

IT'S For Everyone

The lifts will Be Open and the public is welcome to come and shred and party. tickets are 10 bucks each day but are well worth it so get your ass in gear and come party. Don't worry about you're defcons were no racist here

///™ Snoqualmie

Grenade Games.... I love this time of year

So as you might have seen last year i hosted the Mogul field bull ride and i will be doing it once again... and if anyone makes it up there... find me and ill smoke a doobie with you.... i love doobies

Doobie-doobie...

..doo it up! And don't forget your towel... that's what Towelie says! ;)

I didn't see much of the even

I didn't see much of the events, but it was absolutely kick ass with a killer vibe all weekend. My home resort totally threw down, building a pipe with the Zaugg where there has been no pipe in at least a decade and littering fun jibs over what is normally the easygoers' slopes. Halfpipe, big booters, sick jibs, banked turns course, Cobra Dogs, Lib Skate Banana demoes, free Monster drink, on-hill mechanical bull rides, live music and friends made for a killer weekend. Some guys built a booter in from of the mechanical bull and started a mechanical bull gap session over the beast. Very sick.

Uber pro's lurked everywhere: Lucas Magoon, Jamie Lynn, Shane Flood, Ahmon Stamps and probably many more that I didn't even recognize.

I don't know if we can wrestle this thing away from the Grenades nest of June Mtn., but I overhead "better than last year" a few times, so it would be sick to have the games up here again.

on-hill mechanical bull? holy shit that sounds really bad and fun at the same time.
