Well ME and crew last year decided to go to the land of the long white cloud(canada) for some snowboarding as we were a little annoyed with the no snow factor in Australia last season. We only got 4 days up for that season, we had already planned the trip but i guess this sort of made us save some cash for the big trip. So me and 5 mates head to canada on the 16th of october for the job fair.we hung round in vancouver for a bit to chill out and thought we would have a nice sunday walk up grouse mountain. DO NOT DO IT. seriously it is not a nice sunday walk its pretty hardcore.

so we went up to whistler to get our jobs. Well things did not go to plan as only 3 out of the 6 got jobs. As we were going to stay at staff accommo we needed to all get jobs for the mountain. After a lot of screwing around and many phone calls everyone got jobs. Me in tickets, anth at glacier creek as the coup bitch, steve, dan and mike doing night equiptment cleaning and ross in retail rentals. waiting for the snow was a bitch then when it was on it was on. FUCKING RECORD SEASON, these are some photos form the glory days.
this is the crew on opening day the 18th of november.
this is on the 3rd day after opening before they opened garbanzo and we hiked up to ravens to enjoy powder all day
steve chilling in the snow
me at the horseman hut on a -29 day but it was very nice
anth and steve chilling at the bottom of 7th heavon
a nice shot of the tusk as we were riding out of bounds of the peak
pow day at night moves and doing the roof drop because that is the worst run/chair to ride in the world. always fun times
very far right of the 7th chair hitting some pow
trying to tweak on that 7th heavon drop
when we sort of got lost and dan who is in the photo didnt go to work beacuse it took so long to get out of the woods haha.
SO after our time at whistler we went to vancouver to chill out for a week and we got 2 weeks of sunshine if anyone that was there remembers it was the last 2 weeks in jan i think. so we got bluebird days for some awesome fun days at grouse.

Then we trecked of to japan to hakuba. We had a package paid for and we had a weeks riding ahead of us. we had left one of our crew in whistler who is still there, After ariving at 9pm to the sight of snow in hakuba was so great after not seeing for 2 weeks. We rode 10cm of fresh the first day and had a great time. Then me and my friend anth looked at the trees and thought its pretty deep lets hit it. Hmmmm japanese arnt to keen on riding the trees we got told off. but that run was soooo good. Next day it rains ALL day. not just light rain, it was the worst type that killed snow. we thought the trip was over and nothing could heal this so quickly, Well it started snowing that night and then snowed all day HARD.then continued into the night. we knew it was on.but when i opened the curtins and saw a bluebird day with 50cm of fresh that pretty much made everything awesome. we had to poach the trees carefully. Then me out of all of us got caught again. thnka god for a language barrier because i kept shaking me head as he wanted my pass and after 15 minutes of stand off he letr me go.
