Handguns For Headphones Productions Present Focus: A Snowboard Documentary
Everyone has their own story to tell, and many go unheard. This film is dedicated to those stories and the people that own them.
Today pro snowboarders, who were once considered punks of a generation, are now enjoying mainstream attention from todays media. Now in the Olympics, snowboarding is gaining world wide acceptance amongst the other sports of today. With this worldwide attention comes money, and in today's videos, most snowboarders are depicted as having huge bank accounts, limitless access to snowmobiles and travel budgets bigger than most company executives.
However, for many people, this is an unknown world that they only dream about at their nine to five job or between teachers lectures at school. For many people, in order to be at the level the Pro's are at, its a constant upward battle; especially if one living in an expensive ski town. This is where our documentary comes in...to pick up what the big, snowboard and production companies forgot about. A place where, heart and style are pushing the progression rather than products and marketing.
Focus - a snowboard documentary, is a raw and aggressive look into the lives of snowboarders who are often overlooked in today's snowboard community. Let us take you on an artistic journey into the lives of individuals who are all of different paths in their lives but are all connected by one medium - snowboarding. This film will document a winter of their triumphs and failures in the snowboarding realm and why they put so much blood, sweat and years into this winter season. People, who struggle through many things in life just so they can snowboard. People that the snow industry was built on and why it continues to thrive to this very day; people brought together by one focus - to shred.
