Just another day in paradise, right?

Yes, would be the answer to that one and with the typically glorious spring days Mammoth is known for Volcom’s annual Penutbutter and Rail Jam went off according to plan. Built by the kids for the kids Saturdays action reaffirmed the fact that there’s no stopping the youth from pushing our little sport here to new heights. With over 200 competitors (over 80 more than last year) and a strong representation from Europe, mainly those pesky Scandomaniacs the field was about as random aa Volcom’s new tyedye image, but it was the local kid Greg Bretz who stole the show and walked away with 5 large. A good time was had by all including the rippers, especially the ones who padded their pockets with some of Volcom’s money (consolation prizes included a bruised spinal column and a not so full set of teeth).

Check the photos here, and to all you kids out there, Volcom put up $30,000 in cash this year so get yer ass into that contest next time….imagine all the Skittles you could load up on with that kind of coin.

Big thanks to Billy Anderson and Ryan Boyes for making this happen and to Peter Morning for taking these shots while I sat comfortably on the sundeck…..with a beer……or two.

...

Makes me want some PB&J. I'm down with the strawberry. Wasn't always. It's kind of a new adult "thing" I guess. I used to hate it.

Awesome

Awesome comp, I saw some footage from it and it looked like a great enviroment to shred.

For the 16 and over section. The name is wrong. Its not Scott Prawn. Its Scott Brown- great kid.
