///™ The Best Video Ever

that part is amazing... when i first saw that i had a sudden epifeny that terje was mortle (for a nano second), then is sprocket-self rebounded and went bigger than i could ever go (after a hard tumble).

fucking amazing part.

Craig Kelly Forever.

My Favorite Part

The Garden - Road Trippin - this part will always represent snowboarding to me.

///™ The Young, Brown, Walsh

i have searched high and low for this video and have never been able to find a copy.

shamefully, i never saw it when it first came out (despite having some of my favorite riders in it). if anyone has a copy, would they mind sticking it on youtube or contacting me,
thanks.

Is that the shorty's video from back in the day.

If it is, it's one of my favorites and I might have a copy in limbo somewhere, I'll search for it.

that's the one.

man, i will hook it up if you can get me a copy of that.

Craig Kelly Forever.

Well....

It looks as though you're in luck LJJ. I managed to find my VHS copy hidden away in storage. I'll burn it on to a DVD over the weekend.

The only question is, would you like me to mail you a copy or do you just want it on Youtube?

And I don't need anything for this. Just promise you wont vent out on any more kids with fashion problems (the holden kid).

///™ island shred

i'll get back to you via pm. thanks!

at least put a part of it up on youboob, I would like to see it again.

Great topic!

It's hard for me to track down some of this footage since I started snowboarding only a few years ago, but I'm glad you guys are exposing people like me to some of the great riders of the past.

h3

i couldn't find it on the www, but if anyone still has a copy of The Hard, The Hungry and The Homeless, get that on you tube, or get me a copy somehow. the one i had fell victim to an overzealous VCR years ago.

Cardiel, Brush, Guch, Haakon, others - Roadkill

Cardiel

was waaaayyyy better at skating than snowboarding. Which is not by any means a bad thing. Guy is my idol on a skateboard.

///™ say what?

man, cardiel could and can still ride better in here than any of us...except hot rodd richards.

Craig Kelly Forever.

I'd always...

I'd always known that Johan was a good rider, but never really knew what made him stand out from the crowd.

Watching that part definitely filled in the blanks. Balls to the wall is the only way I can describe his style.

Like the Lynn stuff too, thanks for that.

(.)(.)

It saddens me to know that (maybe more than one) generations will grow up snowboarding and not know of Johan

or roach...

its a shame that the young kids are more obsessed with gettin the tightest pants or the tallest t shirts instead of who made grabbing tight and skate style, instead of tip-tastic. roach changed snowboard style and influenced everyone. i remember being at contests with damian, graham, ranquet, brushie, and we all just studied roach.

///™ Grasser me this...

cannot forget monty roach and the heavy tools era.

Craig Kelly Forever.

Trust me

If I could get my hands on some of the older stuff I would be all over it. The only thing thats painful about those movies is some of the music.

It's nice to see that some of these choice riders have found their way on to the internet though as we (people who are a bit younger) normally only get to here about them.

Still haven't seen much footage of Roach though.

The TB5 part is one of the truly timeless video sections. You could drop that into any of this year's vids and it remains as amazing and still stand-outs.

Johan's first signature board is still my favorite board, broke two in one season riding like a complete idiot.

what about damian

Damian Sanders in Snowboarders in Exile... rocking the wind lip in hard boots! And the part where they "stole" Bert Lamars car in Europe!!!

Oh: And the entire Hard The Hungry and the Homeless Video

Along with the palmer team jumping over the train in the movie I can't remember the name of!

oops

I didn't realize you were posting vids until I clicked on one of those links. I don't have the digital links to the vids I mentioned... they are all still on VHS.

If I look hard on the net though... I may be able to find them on digi... keep you posted for sure!
