Ah, the familiar smells of summer…BBQ, PBR, and Gary. All this and more was found at the first annual DDC Almost Summer Get Together, held this past Saturday at the original (and still the true) SNOWBOARD Mag Office, also known as the DDC Factory Floor. All of Portland’s, and some of Seattle’s most creative artists, industry movers and shakers, came out to pay respects to the entire Draplin family…all together in Portland for the first time in history. There were Moms, Dads, sisters, children, Garys and a whole host of other mangy mutts (the Grenerds showed up) littering the house, inside and out. It was a true Memorial Day celebration of freedom and life in America, the DDC way.

Jim Draplin making sure nobody goes hungry.
Gary on security patrol.

There was plenty of good snackage to be had.

A few members of The Radical Dude Club made an appearence.

Complete with fresh DDC-designed tattoos.

Matt Kass trying to pass off the blame.

No shortage of ink around these guys.

Prosser, LIly and Jeff Baker.

Nicole Kass with little Mika Baker.

The Neefuses doin' what they do best.

Gary regulating.

Lotta beard goin' on over there.

The new and improved DDC, complete with dueling 30-inch monitors and a back up 23-inch equipped workstation. Were gonna be cranking out pages down here soon enough.

When the hat gets lit on fire, you know the party's officially started. Thanks to everyone who attended: The Draplins, The Bakers, The Kasses, The Neefuses, Dingo, Hexi, Bane, Pinski, Mikey Leblanc, Whitey, Brad from Coal, Cory Grove, Prosser, Nike heads, dogs, kids, riff raff, etc. See ya next year!
