Denver Colorado 2007
Similar to the First annual end of the season post brought to you by your good friends at The Lucid Notion Snowboard Company a punk rock show of epic proportions was again the focal point of Denver Snowboarding Nightlife. However this time…. the show was in support of the Eesa RVQ tour and it’s stop in Denver.
Here is how it all went down:
All was good upon arrival of the Eesa RV and its crew.
Your good friends at The Lucid Notion Snowboard Company conspired with such formidable advisories as Grenade, Red Bull, Anarchy Eyewear and Snowboard Magazine to put on a punk rock show in honor of Eesa’s travels. Ryan Peterson (Lucid Notion Co-Owner) begin to set-up for the show.
Obviously pleased with his work… Ryan was allowed an opportunity to relax…
The Eesa RVQ tour is a celebration of snowboarding and the way things should be. It was created by the founding father of Eesa Lux Layering… Mr. Steven Cleary. For those of you not in the know…Cleary is credited with the creation of a now famous brand of eyewear for everyone’s favorite industry leading “snowboard” company… but with none of those losers available for a photo… this fantastic depiction of the future of snowboarding was taken in its place:
Now that the stage had been set… and the drinks flowing…
It was time to get down to business. And the first order of business was an up-coming Denver Punk rock band named F.O.C.
And F.O.C. ran the crowd into a frenzy until it was time for Denver’s official Punk Legend, Lyin’ Bitch and The Restraining Orders to take things into their own hands.
One of the most notorious skaters/tour managers/local drunks/industry characters in Denver Colorado today… none other then “Shorts” McGraw gives his appreciation to the set!
In-between sets the main vein was swelling… and my back teeth were floating so it was off to the mens room to drain. This is where I found Lucid Notion Am-Rider Andy Orely playing with his left nipple.
Not quite sure why all that silliness was going on but that is all part of the deal when amazing local punk rock bands, snowboarders, skateboarders, pros, ams and company personal all descend upon The Loft in Denver for Sunday night summer fun!!
LBRO begin moving their equipment
to make way for Denver Punk Rock Power House… none other then Suburban Hostage!
Suburban Hostage absolutely rocked the doors off of the Loft!!! Nothing more I can really say about that… you have to see and hear it to believe!
End of the show…Time to count out, pay the bands and start planning the next show!
A special thanks goes out to Cleary and the kids who drove Steves beat up old RV through Denver for The Eesa RVQ Tour.
THEY ARE:
Travis Limoge: Eesa Pro Rider
Justin and Alex: Eesa interns
And Agatha: The loan Eesa employee holding down the law on the tour!
In no particular the following people are thanked for helping show the Eesa RVQ Crew a good time in Denver… Sorry that Cleary could not be there!
Nic Drago, Lucky and Greg @ Snowboard Magazine, Eesa Lux Layering, Red Bull, Grenade, The Lucid Notion Snowboard Company, Anarchy Eyewear, The Loft Denver, F.O.C., LBRO, Suburban Hostage, PBR and our old pal Mr. Jamison! Rock On!
