the winner is

LEXAN - its a very durable polypropylene plastic that is used very commonly in box construction

i looked around for that plum

i looked around for that plumber pvc and couldnt really find anything. my dad didnt even know what it was and he works pipefitting jobs and things like that.

and when you said put wood in it, did you mean put wood in the hollow part of the pvc or just have more supports running under it? cause we planned on putting a few supports, a sheet of plywood, then the pvc. sandwich style

mang...

...go to http://www.snowparktech.com and hit up the contact section. hit those homies up! maybe they'll share some info...

cheaper

Actually, if you go to a home depot or Lowe's, there is stuff called plumber's PVC. Its grey and square, which is perfect for attaching several side by side to make a cheap yet smooth sliding surface. BUT, it IS hollow, so make sure to buy it thick or use wood on the inside to prevent it from collapsing under your weight. Also, be aware that this stuff is much cheaper than Lexan or Smoked Poly----> i.e. not as durable

Smoked poly is your best bet.

Smoked poly is your best bet. It's the cloudy stuff that slides real slick. A lot of mountains use this stuff. There's also lexan which is a little cheaper, transparent, and stickier.
